@Abomination713: You can probably assume it's a "no" for most games, otherwise they'd be bragging about that too.

@slypher9: I think people are still interested. It will probably be a big hit in Japan and sell moderately in Western countries to the niche adventure game fans.

But there's no way enough people will buy it to recoup a decade of development costs. It'll probably be similar in quality to the other two and leave every one wondering what the hell ever took so long.

But then again, I was a huge fan of the other 2, and I won't even play this one unless I get a used PS4 cheap after this gen is over, so maybe I'm proof that you're right.

@Arkhalipso: It was just a recent example of how Sony actually keeps control over what devs do on their console. Trying to say that it's "all up to the publishers" is crap, nobody gets stuff on their PS4 that Sony didn't approve without modding the console. They at least share the blame if you're seeing it happen on anything called "Playstation".

And consoles have always been DRM boxes, or else I would have been able to play my Sega cartridges on my SNES. It doesn't mean they're always bad, sometimes they're worth buying anyway.

@Arkhalipso: Yeah, just like how Bethesda gets to support all the Fallout 4 mods on PS4 even if Sony doesn't like it.

One minute Sony has tight control over everything released on their DRM box, and the next minute Sony is powerless to stop bizarre gangs of 3rd party devs from releasing whatever abominations they can cobble together in the post-apocalyptic PS4 wasteland.

And if I look one more article down on the page, I bet it will change again.

@barbarossa213: Same here. This is literally the only generation of consoles in history that I am not interested in enough to buy one. I might get a cheap used PS4 to play the 3 exclusives I care about after third gen is officially done.

@joshrmeyer: Oh, come on. You guys act like most of the population doesn't already have a decent PC for work or school or general use. Unless your current PC is super old, you can probably get most games to run well for just the price of a new graphics card and maybe some extra RAM. For most, the prices are comparable to buying a PS4 Pro.

Oh cool. So it's going to be an open platform that anyone can release stuff for, with nearly unlimited support for mods on titles with big publishers? And it'll have lots of good strategy games, loot-fest ARPGs, and old favorites that will be playable without having to re-buy them from Sony? And it'll have keyboard and mouse precision for shooters?

Performance is not even close to the main reason many of us game on PC, but it's the only thing (except for a few exclusives that I have to admit are great) that Sony is focusing on.

@frank_castle: Also, people who bitch on gaming sites don't always represent the majority of gamers. Most of these commenters enjoy complaining and fanboy bickering, and would do the same thing no matter what Nintendo is doing.

I rolled my eyes at all the "SonySpot" commenters, but I have to admit that this one really does read just like an advertisement.
