@returnofsoma42: Mercury Steam didn't do that to Castlevania, it was already done by the same guy who made Symphony of the Night. The PS2 Castlevanias were ripping off Devil May Cry before GOW existed, and Mercury Steam was most likely demanded by Konami to make amother DMC clone.
@JamesJoule: "when i pay 60$" You're the reason they're doing this if you're buying the games anyway. The only way they will ever consider stopping is if gamers stop buying. It's that simple.
@ef56sd: Sorry, I meant DVD movies, I know all the games were on DVD. I don't know what later models did, but the first 360s had DRM to prevent copyrighted movies being played unless you buy the HD DVD add-on. And it still cost me like $300 at the time, even though it was the model with a tiny enough hard drive that you had to constantly delete stuff if you got anything new.
I remember from the early days of the Xbox 360 what Microsoft's definition of "upgradable" is. Selling you a console that's basically a GPU connected to a power switch, then charge $100 to upgrade to having a hard drive, $100 for WiFi, $50 to play movies, etc.
