@jellygreen: Lies....????.....plural? The only lie was not being able to see each other in game, and even then, it wasn't the game's main selling point.
@dodgers0022: Very well put, I love the passion you have for it. I feel somewhat the same way for the game; the satisfaction you get for taking time to plan and digress the resources you need to upgrade your character are unlike anything you can experience in a game of this size. The story, although not in-your-face explosive like most games, is still there; you just have to experience it first-hand to understand it. It seems @sodapoppimpski was, like all the rest, just coerced into falling for a hype that blew their expectations out of the water. Too many people went into the game thinking it was something entirely different and in turn, they were left wanting more....the usual gamer these days. Some of us knew what this was going in and are enjoying it to the fullest. Others bitching about there not being some sort of competitive or co-operative multiplayer are also incorporating something that shouldn't have been the main selling point as well.....even if there was, their disgrace for the game would mean that others who have been playing it for a while will be upgraded enough to completely demolish these players who hate the game....so the point is moot.
@tacoslayer2u: Not on my end...I haven't had any serious problems with the game at all. I'm enjoying the hell out of it....if I could, I'd roll up a fatty and just relax the hell outta this game. Only problem on the PS4 version thus far is a weird glitch that happens sometimes when I get in my ship and begin to take off and as soon as I lift off the ground the ship suddenly glitches right out of the planet without me ever flying out of it.
@reavern: Maybe you should have done some research on what this game was all about. You've described everything that had been already mentioned by Sean Murray and Hello Games that this was the type of "space adventure" that really was like an old-school space exploration scenario. It basically has everything they claimed it would (albeit the lie about being able to see each other in the game, but that doesn't really garner a excuse for a refund) have.
@reavern: And how is it not a spectacular open-world space adventure? What were you really expecting. Now I'll admit, the story is basically dynamic based on the fact that the entire game is procedurally-generated and consists of mostly text, but that is something you would expect from an indie game of this size. The technology behind this game is still rather brilliant.
@EcksTheory: I agree the performance is really the only low point here and should be fixed immediately. When it comes to multiplayer, people need to get over that.....so much is being said about that it's like beating the bush x1000....I'm starting to see why Sean Murry lied about that-- just to get these people of his back about multiplayer, since this game was NEVER about that.
@Frogster8: Don't bash it until you actually play it....your opinion only has about 5% of the overall stopping power if you've never actually played the game. That out of the way though, Sean Murray shouldn't expect anyone even considering buying any paid DLC with the current state of the game. If more ideas are fleshed out and optimization problems are fixed, then I could see paid DLC in the distant future. The game is still enjoyable for what it is....too many idiots went into this game thinking it was some kind of mind-blowing multiplayer space adventure.
