What are you listening too?

Yes. What kind of music are you listening to right now. I really want to know. So here's what you can do. You can post a comment with:

I've asked this question before, but I want to know again. I'm just currently looking for something to listen too. Maybe I'll discover a new sound that I like based off of what you all like. There really isn't much to report on my end. I'm just here watching game 4 in the Carolina and Boston playoff series on my day off. After working all those days I just decided to stay home. Originally my plan was to cut the grass and wash my car. But then that turned into a day of Dead Rising, and Gears of War 2.

Ok. Here's some gaming information. The DVD-ROM drive in my Xbox 360 can be loud, and the sound creates this vibration sensation in the air too. More on to gaming; I know on System Wars Killzone 2 and Gears of War 2 were pitted in a graphic arguement for a short time. After playing Killzone 2 for awhile and then jumping on to Gears 2 I notice that the Sony exclusive does a better job consistently with the visuals. In my opinion Killzone 2 look better. Gears of War 2 against itself looks much better in dark contained areas instead of outside(unless it's night). At the sametime the environments are more daring, and because of that the game looks great as well. Today I was able to get inside that "huge worm" in Gears 2 which is a great set piece! That for me was one of the better moments I've had while playing a videogame.

Killzone 2 characters are average in comparison to the Gears soldiers you play as. Marcus Fenix and his crew always have you laughing. I'm coughing up blood. And it ain't even mine.

Back in action!

As some of you may know, I have a older Xbox 360. The warranty I bought at the store, and the one available from Microsoft is expired. That sucks! Today I bought a simple 360 Arcade with Gears of War 2 and Dead Rising. Because of my discount I got the console for about $170 bucks and both games for $65 plus another 5% off because of a sale.

This revision of the Xbox 360(and it's also in the Elite) has a much smaller CPU called the "Jasper" and a HDMI connection for upscaling to 1080p. The original Xbox which I had uses a power supply of 200 watts, but this one uses 150. Plus it has a new Samsung DVD drive, and it's quiet. It also has internal memory, but I already had a hard drive so I'm set. Plus I get a "wireless" controller, and a game(s) to fit the theme of the $200 system(Sega Superstars Tennis).

I haven't played enough of Gears of War 2, but so far it doesn't feel any different from the first game. And after playing Metal Gear Solid 4 and even Killzone 2; I was expecting more visually from Gears 2. Don't get me wrong though. Gears of War 2 looks awesome. Dead Rising, is Dead Rising. I have a feeling that it's simplicity is what I'm going to enjoy the most.

For my PSN friends I would like to apologize for not logging on enough. Don't ask me why. As far as hockey goes the series between the Hurricanes and the Boston Bruins is tied. The good news is that Carolina shutout Boston on their own ice! When it comes to player rivalry, Boston has their captain Zdeno Chara, all over 'Canes star Eric Staal. Staal took a pounding in Game 2 from 6' 9" defenseman Chara, but he manage to get two points(a goal and an assist) plus a win.

Edit for Hockey fans: Both Sidney Crosby and Ovechkin got a hat trick in Game 2 of the Washington Capitals and Pittsburgh Penguins series!

RODD - Xbox 360 RIP

Yes. My Xbox 360 gave me the red ring of death around midnight with only 10 minutes of play after turning it on. How funny is that?! Immediately posted my last blog right after my Xbox 360 froze twice while I played NHL 09. I knew from the start without second guessing myself that the Xbox 360 was about to received the dreaded red lights. I wasn't angry, or disappointed. It was just funny. The first time the game froze, I turned it back on, and alerted my usual gang that I'm one minute away from getting the RROD. We just laugh about it, but I told them it was going to happen so if they didn't see me online in the next 20 minutes it was obvious that I had a hardware failure.

And in fact I did! So I just played some Dissidia, Final Fantasy for a few minutes. Anyway, it looks like I leveled up and have become a Heiankyo Alien. Also I changed my user icon to Marlene from Advent Children Complete impersonating Barret; how are you going to take care of your family if you can't take care of yo' self!

Xbox 360 = UH-OH! [Updated]

You can go ahead and assume because I am doing just that. My most played console has always been the Xbox 360, and one game I constantly play is NHL 09 on it. Tonight I decided to play some online teamplay, and my Xbox 360 froze. I turned it back on and tried another session and it decided to do it again! I'm going to try a different game and hopefully there's no problem. Could the dreaded RROD be upon me? My warranty is up and my protection agreement I bought is over too. I do have a Wii and PS3! Someone told me to get NHL 09 on Sony's console, but I just won't because I like hearing other people's voice while playing the game online(not to mention I have a Superstar level player in EASHL).

It was funny simply because one of my Skate-mates had his Xbox 360 RROD the day before Skate 2 came out which we all taunted him afterwards. Another Skate-mate named Chocolate had his 360 RROD during a Gears of War 2 session, but he had plans on buying another Xbox 360(which was the next day) after we talked about owning older models of the console in a Party. I hope I'm not next which would be kind of ironic(laughs). I've always planned on getting another, but I'm glad I can afford one still. But no one likes a broken videogame console. xD

Hopefully it's just NHL 09 telling me it's had enough.

UPDATE! - And yes, my consoles can talk! Also, I don't know what I was watching on TV. lol

New Square Enix teaser site?

NEW GAME.

I guess either their new MMORPG or a Front Mission game for the Xbox 360(rumored before). This new Front Mission might be focused on action with online play. I really want to see Front Mission 5 as a strategy game. :(

In Yo' Face!

As we go further into the year my most anticipated games get even slimmer as I narrow down the ones I really want!

[Must Have]

Final Fantasy XIII

Muramasa: The Demon Blade

NHL 10

Little King Story

Alan Wake(if possible)

[Games to look out for!]

Batman: Arkham Asylum.

Grand Slam Tennis

Tales of Vesperia - PS3

Marvel vs Capcom 2

Dissidia, Final Fantasy

Heavy Rain

Muramasa: The Demon Blade became a must have after I watched the HD preview of it at Gametrailers.com. This..game..is..so..gorgeous! And even though it's a side scrolling 2D game, it's the best looking Wii game available in my opinion. Again, Vanillaware who created the cult hit, Odin Sphere, has another great game lined up for RPG fans. I couldn't believe how far this game has come!

Also, has anyone seen the new trailer for Dead Rising 2? It's too funny I think.

CAROLINA HURRICANES BEAT THE DEVILS! IN YO' FACE!

Final Fantasy XIII impression?

Hey everyone. I just got home from work. This week, Monday to Friday I will be working from 8am to 9pm with two jobs. And some how my new job in the evening wants me to come in at 2:45pm on Saturday. If I had hair to pull out(since it's a low cut) I would do it right now. At the sametime it's not too bad in terms of responsibility and keeping up with things. In fact, I don't do anything at my second job because consumer-electronics are not apart of the essentials in this economy. I was only in for about 4 hour today to close, and I am the only one who sold anything the entire day(with $150)!

With that said, that's the reason why I haven't been able to express my feelings about Final Fantasy XIII. Not to mention Gamespot "1UP-ed" me with video walkthroughs of the entire demo! Here's some good news! I am eligible for more financial aid next term for college. The Carolina Hurricanes also shutout the New Jersey Devils 4-0 which tied the series 3-3 and now they have one more game to play. I went grocery shopping which allowed me to get carmel and chocolate syrup to make sundaes. For those who like to frequently join my Xbox Live Parties, thanks! We have fun don't we? I need to get Gears 2 though..I feel left out since everyone hasbeen playing that lately.

Also, I'm getting in shape. My next pay check is going to weights!

Advent Children Complete and the FFXIII Demo!

It finally came, and I haven't done anything today either! My robe just feels too comfortable! I didn't want to bring the PS3 downstairs to the larger HDTV because that's too much of hassle considering how I have it hooked up to my 32". I just prayed that the Blu-Ray player downstairs worked with Advent Children. The Sharp I have tends to have problems reading some Blu-Ray discs. But Advent Children Complete was simply a breeze.

The home theater system pretty much picked up the rest for me as I was able to watch everything in 1080p. The first thing I watched was the Case of Denzel, then the Reminenscing of the Compilation, and finally Advent Children Complete. You can check out my review at the Final Fantasy Experience Union. There are some awesome new scenes, but my favorite had to be when Marlene impersonates her father, Barret. I just started laughing out loud because it was so unexpecting.

The Final Fantasy XIII demo is still in play, and you'll have a more clear impression at FFE from me soon. Unlike "all" the other Final Fantasy games you have played in the past, Final Fantasy XIII will have your fingers heavily active from the get-go. The demo only showcases a basic form of the battle system, but you can clearly see how Square Enix plans to add depth too it. Speed is partially a key to winning as well. The visuals for the game are quite remarkable, and they should be. Plus it can only get better since we're only playing a demo built last year. I can't wait for this game to come out.

0.02 seconds, and AC: Complete!

With 0.02 left in the third and final period in the Hurricanes and Devils game; Carolina scores a tie breaker and wins game 4(out of 7) to tie the series 2-2. I just got home for a long day of work to watch the final period. The Carolina Hurricanes were winning, but they let the New Jersey Devils tie it up. That's when Carolina's power forward, Eric Staal, turned on the heat to energize the RBC Center. With that said it was enough to pretty much force the Devils to play defense, allowing a deflected goal from Jussi Jokinen. I JUMPED UP FROM MY SEAT IN EXCITEMENT SCREAMING! Then the officials had to review the goal since it was cut close, but it counts. That's NHL Playoff history in the making! Out of all the quarter-final series in both the East and West, this one is the most intense! The series it tied, but there is only 3 games left.

Enough of hockey. But guess what else has been toying with my emotions. This Fedex delivery of Advent Children Complete! This morning it was finally delivered to my home. But unlike UPS who drops the item off in a safe place outside your home, Fedex keeps it until you're there to sign for it(or pick it up). I know that doesn't sound bad, but if you missed a packaged that you really wanted(especially multiple times in a week) then you know what I'm talking about. And with two jobs I work 8am to 9pm so I can't pick it up. Tomorrow I'm off, and I already wrote a note on the door(if I sleep in). I just want to see Advent Children, the Case of Denzel, and play the FFXIII demo...is that so much ask? xD

Back to work!

So my first day back at an old job(called Sears) was boring! At the sametime it went by so fast because after working 8+ hours makes me realize how short 5 actually is. I work in an electronics department which is a hourly pay plus commission. I realize that even being a nut about technology, I don't know everything. But I guess the more I'm on the job, I'll get a better idea of things.

I have a new contract with MTI working on a Trident MRAP vehicle for the military. Awesomeness again! I wonder if this one will appear in Transformers like the Buffalo's I worked on with EMA. One of the funniest but disappointing moments is when a government QA caused an electrical fire in the vehicle, and the fire suppression system inside went off while my team was in it. The bad news is that it damaged all the equipment inside.

I'm going to have a review for Lost Odyssey soon, but not Advent Children Complete simply because there was a delay in the shipping somewhere around Anchorage, Alaska. So I am not sure when I'll get it. Also if you have Xbox Live and/or on PSN give me your gamertag/PSN ID! I'd love to hear from you.
