Hell, I'd argue the cartoonish over the top violence of some of those games make them geared toward children.

That's hilarious. Yeah, the strip club in GTA V where you can take a stripper back to their apartment and have sex with them...what a game for children!

Everyone knows Nintendo is the most kid-friendly console and must have a significantly lower average age of player than Xbox or Playstation. Marketed to children. All its biggest games maintaining a family friendly tone. Gameplay is irrelevant. They even put built in driving assist in Mario Kart for kids who can't even drive in the game.

Haven't owned Nintendo hardware since N64 and Nintendo has done nothing since to get me to buy one. After Wii U's short lifespan and lack of 3rd party, I don't feel they can be trusted to massively sell hardware over a long period of time. The Switch doesn't have the novelty power the Wii did in 2006 so I remain highly skeptical what sort of legs the system has.

I wish BOTW, Mario Kart 8, and Odyssey were just released on Xbox as they look fun and I would buy them. But I simply cannot justify paying what they charge just to play basically those 3 games. I didn't grow up with Nintendo. My earliest owned console was by Sega so they don't get me to auto buy things based on nostalgia like they get a lot of gamers in my age group to do.

$300+cost of pro controller+cost of games is just way too much of an ask for me.

No need for a PS5 in the near future. The PS4 is imo the greatest console ever created.

That's funny. X1X bests the PS4 and Pro in many ways.

Nobody should expect any PS5 specs in 2018 or 2019, because I think it's just about a certainty November 2020 is the earliest a PS5 releases.

It might be about double the power of the Pro, or even X1X, and then in 2021 or 2022 Microsoft will outdo them again.

Also I don't think Sony will ever sell a console for 599 again. And it seems like they like to undercut the 499 price point that MS seems comfortable with. That limits the power you launch with.

@quadknight: OMG, I just saw that locked thread about "teh biased IGN Sony-loving tweet" lol lemmings are the snowflakes of gaming now.

That was my thread, and it was a legitimate post. IGN twisted a simple X1X feature by using the word "FORCE" to try to make it seem like something negative.

They continue to pull bullshit by recently posting Crash remastered gameplay and putting 4k/60fps in the title of the video, when anyone with basic knowledge of that game knows that on Pro it runs 1440p/30fps.

They blatantly got called out for it in the comments and the title of the video is now changed to just saying "captured in 4k".

There is a real gaming media bias against Xbox, and most of it simply has to do with PS4 being the market leader in sales, and people riding their dick.

Almost all your posts are just mindless trolling. Your completely bias and rarely make any points, in fact, I'm not sure I've ever seen you post anything but pro-Sony trolling.

Might go Metro Bundle myself.

Can't believe they are still charging $19.99 for ReCore.

Yeah, I've played the trial and enjoyed it, but with so many games to play I have yet to grab Recore at that price. I've seen it on disc, new, go on ebay for like $12 but I rarely buy on disc any more.

I am basically sold on Voodoo Vince for under 10. Never got to play the original, but from all gameplay I've watched, and reviews, it's a great remastering of a platformer that was already solid. Has a really unique art style, great music, and I was amused by the one liners in just 5 minutes of watching it on Youtube, and I've been in a platformer mood and my X1 library is lacking in platformers.

I'll probably grab Wolfenstein as well. Upcoming sequel looks great but I'd want to play this one first.

Toejam & Earl: Back In The Groove (have waited since early 90s for proper sequel to original)

Shadow Of War

Assassin's Creed Origins

Cuphead

Super Lucky's Tale

Metro Exodus

Days Gone

Dead Rising 5 (unannounced but I know it's coming)

Beyond Good & Evil 2 (but I need to see more gameplay than ape with jetpack and ship flying)

Mario Odyssey looks fun but I won't pay $300 for Nintendo hardware+extra for regular controller. Maybe when Switch stuff is like current Wii U prices.

every multiplat title slated to run better on X1X' what does that even fucking mean? Even PR clowns like Spencer don't spew speculative NON FACTUAL bullshit to sell their nonsense. The X has a shit CPU which limits its ability to crank up framerates for games with detailed visuals. Everyone in the world seems to know this except you. Do you work for MS by any chance? You wouldn't be the first troll they planted here.

MS could have put in a better CPU not by 'magic' but by spending less on the GPU and thus made a more balanced system. I said this already, do you even read the posts you are replying to?

'People buy consoles because they want to play GAMES'. I knew you'd get something right eventually. On X they will play all the games they already own and a ton of indie garbage. I. Can. Not. Wait.

AAA first party. LOL! Oooh it's all a big secret is it? They wanted to give the impression at E3 that they have fucking nothing did they? Righto, thanks for the heads-up there lol.

HDMI - you don't have to plug your PC into your TV, not at all, I was just pointing out your completely factually incorrect assumption that anyone who games on PC is hunched over a desk playing on a monitor, something that absolutely anyone who claims to have 'enlightenment' in the world of PC gaming would already know. For someone who keeps bleating on about facts as I have just demonstrated with this post just about everything you come out with is factually incorrect and nothing more than banal MS PR drivel.

Slated, as in, CONFIRMED already running in said performance by the devs...that make the games. Like the Ark devs, and the Shadow Of War devs. Slated cause the games aren't commercially released yet. Apparently you couldn't grasp this.

I don't think the 1X has a shit CPU. It's better than the Pro's. They upgraded the GPU more cause they also offloaded a lot of burden of the CPU to the GPU. I've read all information regarding the specs and it makes sense to me.

Yes, 1X users will have the ability to play massively upgraded versions of X1 and 360 games, and in a few weeks time, original Xbox games. If you think all current and upcoming indie games on Xbox are garbage your not a real gamer. For such a PC guy you sure seem to hate on indies a lot, which is mostly all the exclusives PC even offers and PC is very limited in terms of exclusive AAA releases. I don't think gems like Cuphead or Super Lucky's Tale are indie garbage. Oh, and 1X users like myself will also have the best looking and playing AAA multiplats on console.

You want to mock them on holding back AAA 1st party announcements, but before you were so sure they had nothing even in development, I clarified what the facts actually were, and you still don't want to hear it. So when they announce stuff before end of the year or early 2018 or e3 2018 that's releasing in 2018/19 then you'll know you were wrong. You were probably one of the people mocking them for Fable Legends and Scalebound cancellations. They are withholding announcements for good reason.

You are reaching hard with your last 'point'. I never, ever said ALL PC gamers sit at a desk hunched over a monitor. I was making a generalization as that is the most iconic and traditional PC gamer set up, and I believe, still the MAJORITY for the most hardcore PC gamers. Especially adult gamers with families, I just don't see or read about or think they have gaming laptops or PC towers in their living rooms.

So in actuality I stated absolutely nothing that was factually incorrect.

But you tried.

And an even better one for X1X gamers in December. Surely they can bump that resolution or those frames up with the console BEAST.

The system bills itself as the first true 4K experience, but in order for you to experience 4K, you will need a 4K tv which will cost you at least $500-$600. On top of the already high asking price of the system, you're looking at $1000 just to get up and running. Then there's games, and Xbox Live if you intend to play online. Some will argue that the Xbox One X is a great fit even if you have just a 1080p screen, but then why would you buy the system? You can get a PS4 Pro or low level PC that can do 1080p just fine. It seems to me that the barrier to entry is too high, am I rite SW? It seems like 4K adoption is still really low at this time.

43" 4k TV for 299.

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/westinghouse-43-class-42-5-diag--led-2160p-smart-4k-ultra-hd-tv-black/5247402.p?skuId=5247402

Some of us have bought new TVs the past 3 years. If you did your research as I did, you knew 4k was the new standard and already have one long before the 1X was ever announced. I got mine 2 years ago.

People who can't afford the 1X but want an XB1 can get the cheap S, that's the point of the S. Price on the 1X will come down eventually, just like all consoles.

For Best Buy customers who are in the Gamers Club Unlocked program, some people have rewards points built up from other purchases they could use towards the console. I actually will not be paying 499, I will be paying less, due to rewards points. Also buying the console itself will net me more rewards points I can use towards saving on future games.

Also Best Buy offers a credit card you could make interest free payments on. Could probably get a 1X for $50/month, if not less.

Point being, not everyone's in the same situation and there's lots of ways one can afford the console. It's $500 not 5k. For what you get they really couldn't reasonably sell it any cheaper. Your getting the 4k blu ray player the S has, which as stand alones those can run 200-300, and actually getting a 4k gaming console that's not just upscaling like the S or hitting 1440p most of the time like the Pro. It's definitely worth the 100 extra than the Pro costs.

Okay, first of all, the source is horrible. An article claims some random website that sells games has the game listed. If you follow the link, you get to the PS4 version? So what? That doesn't prove anything at all.

It's a legit European retailer. The listing has changed since this story has been spreading, there was an Xbox One listing and now it doesn't show the X1 case.

Clearly they jumped the gun and the X1 release was probably supposed to stay under wraps until after the PS4 version launched.

XB1 is the only platform that's getting this Crash trilogy, Cuphead, Super Lucky's Tale, and Sonic Mania. What a lineup.
