No need for a PS5 in the near future. The PS4 is imo the greatest console ever created.

That's funny. X1X bests the PS4 and Pro in many ways.

And yet when it comes to the single most important thing it's not even close to PS4 and Pro...

Taste in games is entirely personal opinion. Many tout new Zelda as one of the greatest ever, many like myself, have no history with the series, and will never buy a Switch or Wii U just to play this game we don't hardly care about.

You are talking software, which is separate from hardware anyway. Hardware for hardware X1X tops anything Sony's ever done, and it's not even close. An actually honest Playstation fan could admit, that if he could, he'd play all his favorite PS4 games on an X1X, with all that machine could do. Only the truly bias would reject this hypothetical situation. If your preferred software lineup was available on the unarguably superior platform, you'd take the X, that is my point. You are clinging to software to try to defend a piece of inferior hardware.

let microsoft flop around like a fish out of water releasing half assed consoles trying to compete.

Nice logic you have going there.

Releasing a great, slimmed revision of the launch X1 with S last year has resulted in good sales, and in fact the X1 S outsold the PS4 certain months last year, that is neither flopping around or trying to compete, that is beating it in sales.

The X1 S with its 4k blu ray player and 4k upscaling does things the base and Pro PSs cannot do. Nothing half assed about it.

The general consensus, even among PS4 users, whether they bought the Pro or not, is that the Pro was half assed. It was marketed as an upgraded console capable of significantly better graphics, but they didn't invest enough into the GPU upgrade, or do the kind of memory increases or CPU upgrades MS did with the 1X to yield truly greater results than we've seen this gen. Sony couldn't even be bothered to include a 4k blu ray player, when they helped develop the original blu ray format, talk about half assed.

There is absolutely nothing half assed about the 1X, and as long as Spencer is at the helm, Xbox has gone back to its roots, being about POWER, they will never be outshined by Sony in specs as long as they maintain current leadership. Anything Sony does with PS5, MS will be ready to top them again just like they are this year.

If you actually researched everything the S and X can do compared to both PS4s, you'd know feature wise the Xboxes dwarf the Playstations. Sony's E3 was the absolute best example of how low they're setting the bar for themselves, and what they're willing to give its customers, since they lead in sales they're just not going to go above and beyond in regards to pretty much anything, whether that's allowing mods, cross play, or things like EA Access, they clearly don't feel inclined to provide the best value they can to their customers.

Look at all the butthurt Cows. Hahahahaha The X1X is a powerful beast for $500!!!!!!!!

Is a 40% more powerful PS4 Pro without the exclusives..lol

43% more graphical performance, 60% more memory, you seem to like leaving that part out.

And with PS4 games coming to PSN which was known by those non Sony fanboys was going to happen, anyone whose been saying X1 has no exclusives....according to their own logic PS4 now has no exclusives, which was the last shred of value PS4 fanboys were clinging to and expounding since they lost the power advantage.

Sumodigital dev whose developled for PS4 Pro speaking about Crackdown 3: We’ve got something like 15K simultaneous props moving around in our game [Crackdown 3]. Now the Xbox One X just eats them for breakfast.

You can just go and go and go with it. Once we start making games that are optimized for that platform, it’s going to be badass. I don’t mind saying that it’s significantly more powerful than the PlayStation 4 Pro, and we’ve worked with PS4 Pro. It’s way more powerful. It’s a night and day difference.

http://wccftech.com/sumo-digital-xb1x-15k-props/amp/

Night and day difference from a 3rd party dev. This is a performance gap within a gen the likes of which I don't think has ever been seen.

What Xbox haters are failing to realize is we haven't even seen the fully featured X1X devkits roll out yet, that doesn't happen till October, which will give devs the full 9GB of memory dedicated to games, among other features. The great performance we have seen so far already is on still in development, unoptomized games.

@drlostrib: In sales, yes.

yeah, things that are actually important

Yeah, cause sales affect one's personal enjoyment of the game...except not at all.

When your staring at a bottle of Pepsi and a bottle of Coke on a store shelf, do you base your decision on quickly checking on your smartphone the current sales leader of soda?

By Playstation fanboy logic, PS4 now has no exclusives, and NO GAMES. Any excuse making that game X from past 1-3 years isn't on there yet is irrelevant, just a matter of time. Last Of Us is on there, all the Uncharteds, HZD, etc will follow.

Mr. PS4 exclusives list lover Putaspongeon is nowhere to be found....TELLING.

A redundant phrase and power adds nothing to the quality of the experience.

That's funny. Tell that to 80s Atari owners who bought Pacman and thought the arcade Pacman was going to appear on their TV.

If power means nothing, why didn't Nintendo just stick with the NES? Hell, why not just stick with Atari visuals and AI, just make more fun games...somehow.

Oh no, Sony is using the footage EA has provided.....

......meanwhile Microsoft is straight up lying about this game being 4K on the xXx_bone_xXx in their conference......

Anyway the biggest news here is that MS cant even get marketing rights with their tiny market share, LOL.

Like when MS used Witcher 3 PC gameplay Cd Projekt Red provided, and the internet blew up cause they thought MS was intentionally being deceptive? I'm so sure all these Xbox haters were saying "It's not MS's fault, that is footage they sent!1" Then MS apologized and posted the proper disclaimer on the video.

The issue is NOT who came up with the footage, Sony still posted it with no context, and last I heard all they did was remove the video and have posted no public clarification as MS did.

This is about double standards and hypocrisy. When it happened with MS they took 1000x more heat than Sony is for this now, and MS handled it way better and quicker. Issue is complicated by the fact Anthem was first seen publicly as a showcase game for the unlaunched new X1X console which can output visuals the Pro can't and Sony posting X1X footage undercuts their marketing for unreleased hardware, which makes this actually way different than simply transposing PC footage for X1 Witcher 3.

And it is in 4k. Horizon Zero Dawn is not native 4k but still runs in 4k on the Pro.

And MS can get marketing rights for any game they PAY to have the rights for, and for you to imply MS couldn't pay for any rights they please is obviously dumb.

Sony's the insecure one who made sure they were the ones to show Battlefront 2 and Destiny 2 so MS couldn't show them on X1X.

Looks like a trend of Playstation performance misrepresentation going on as X1X launch nears. If it's not Sony posting bullshit, IGN does it for them posting Crash footage and saying it's 4k/60. Casual followers of this stuff who don't actually know the Pro's limitations can be seriously misled by all this. I think Sony knows exactly what they're doing and these are not the last times we see stuff like this before November.

I dont care enough to go trought your whole rant of nonsense.

Translation: I have absolutely **** all to counter anything you said, other than to say I don't care, but I do care enough to quote you and reply that I don't care.

Free pro tip for you, you can save further time typing by simply typing X1X, instead of the 12 character troll attempt to mock a console's name. Shit, 12 characters instead of 3, you must be really passionate about the X1X, are you registered for preorder notification?

Duly lumped into the Xbox hater has no credibility or argumentative skill category, here in System Wars you have much company. NEXT.

By that logic, MS never NEEDED to enter the console market in 2001, but Sega bowed out and MS stepped up and saw an opportunity and have carved out a massive niche for themselves in a space they didn't previously exist in, and have made billions in annual revenue since.

Another way to look at it is, no, MS doesn't NEED Xbox, but they are so monolithic, and it brings in additional revenue, so why the hell not? They unlike Sony and Nintendo can withstand all kinds of industry lows and lulls and not feel the slightest pinch..to me that is a strength for them, and really, the gaming industry in general...that MS isn't going anywhere.

Just like that time Sony hyped LAIR as the second coming and it turned out to be absolute garbage, or showed pure PC cinematics, passed off as gameplay for Resistance instead of real gameplay.

Or originally showed Nioh at E3 2005 and the game just released THIS YEAR. Greatness is always AWAITING with these JRPG obsessed, SIX AXIS PUSHING, ANTI CROSSPLAY, ANTI MOD, ARROGANT so called 'market leaders'...for the players, they say.

Sony HATES its customers and wants more $. Give more $. PS5 coming 2020, 599 US dollars part 2. Except this time the herd is so obedient they will gulp it down without protest.

PSVR 2.0 and Vita 2.0 inbound.

http://www.express.co.uk/entertainment/gaming/823433/Xbox-One-X-price-update-pre-order-delay-PS4-Pro-price-drop

DFC Intelligence predict that by the end of 2021 the Xbox One X will have sold 17 million units, and by 2022 it will have sold over 20 million units.

They predict that the total lifetime sales for the Xbox One will be 63 million units worldwide.

While that is a healthy number, that would be 20 million units down on the Xbox 360’s total lifetime sales.

The 20 million X1X sales by 2022 seems like a pretty good number. I think MS would be pleased with that level of sales considering the price point and their current stance of no exclusive X1X software that requires the hardware purchase.

But I think they may be lowballing it a bit with the 63 million lifetime X1 sales. With a 499 launch price 100 higher than PS4, bundled with Kinect at first, and the bad press of E3 2013, in about 4 years they've already managed half that. And since last year, they've got the superior base model in the S, which goes on sale all the time for 250 or less, bundled with games, and MS continues to add features and selling points to buying an Xbox such as Xbox game pass.

It seems very possible, even likely, they will do better these next 4 years than the first 4 of X1. You have to take into account continual price drops for both the S and X. S dropping down to 200, and the X dropping to 399 or less over the next 1-2 years, and 4k TVs further increasing in proliferation, and both are affordable gaming consoles with 4k blu ray movie support as opposed to people buying standalone 4k players that just play movies. I feel like they could break 70 million lifetime X1 sales.

Even if these analysts end up being about right, considering MS's missteps this gen, to end up within about 20 million units of 360 sales is still a great number for them. That would be an NES type number, and one Nintendo would love to have themselves for the Switch.
