Enough sanctions and prohibit imports and exports from Russia and their economy would quickly crumble. The trick is convincing China to halt or severely increase pricing to and from Russia. A country cannot properly function without the global economy.
China and the Brics will not support any sanctions in fact China is been pretty aggressive towards the US and it's tampering lately threatening to shoot down spy planes US has been sending over their country.
