You are only talking about yourself, you choose to ignore the bigger picture that most people would read only headlines and if it peaks their interest would they read further. Why am I explaining newspaper reader mentality to someone that thinks 1 to 10 is a great system is beyond me. It is not, this isn't 1999 we are 2013, wake up. The 10 grade scoring system only works if applied to something specific and based on the same parameters for all entries. What you are telling me is that you use the same scale to weight a cat and an elephant.
Fact is you are the one slaying an opinion because it is different than yours, I never even went into digging at either Batman or CoD, what I'm talking about is that both games are apples, but one is one species and the other a completely different one in size, blooming times, flavor and color. In fact some stuff in the Batman review are true, but the problem pops when you use the same ruler for two aesthetically different things. Not to mention the lack of consistency where as ''getting more of the same'' argument applies in both cases but in one it gets down marked for it and the other praises it.
This is why this methodology of the 10 grade system fails. I see ppl fighting over scores all the time, just remove them and replace them with words or phrases or pie charts.

What is this nonsense ?! I've said it before and I will keep saying it until someone at GS gets it. This entire fiasco would not even come to happen if GS removes that hideous 10 scale grading system resurrected from the times of dial-up. IT DOESN'T WORK ANYMORE!!! There is no reason to have a grading system because the margins are quite dissolved at this point of age, stop bringing it back from the dead, there are like 5 other different methodologies that can be used to compact one's opinion without causing a hale of anger. If GS just takes this system down they will stop being framed for lack of consistency and also their employees won't get bullied by the people, but i guess GS likes keeping their workers in a hostile environment.
Everybody is allowed to have and share their opinions, however you need to do it in a way that won't piss off people directly based on a stupid number you pulled out of a bag.
