[QUOTE="maniamsmart"]

[QUOTE="Mr_Fujiv1"] what you just said is exactly what im doing appart from twitter, im soo bored. Anyone here fancy a nice long chat while we wait lol?Mr_Fujiv1

lol yeah lets see who can say "Its fixed" first when it gets fixed lol

lol, this is just so inconvenient! i was around 3 hours in on heavy rain and i cant even play that offline! is it just trophy related games you cant play?

Yes, it seems so. Any game with trophies seem to be getting reported as unplayable. At least from what I've seen anyway.

Can't.........play.......games.........hurting........everywhere......conistant

Oh god, this man's got withdrawal symptoms... call a medic!

You know, this is actually a good time to go outside, get out of the house. Too bad it's pitch black out and wannabe thugs like to walk around here at night. This definitely gives me a chance to work on cleaning the car later though. :P

[QUOTE="NinjaStatic"][QUOTE="Mr_Fujiv1"]I think this is just another way for them to get us to buy the PS3 slim and make more money, it wouldn't suprise me one bit if they didn't release this bug! i am so ***** right now! ... I think they will end up fixing this but they will drag it on so we get soo frustrated and buy the slim.hermes200

Good luck with that. I'll just buy a "NEW" 80gb PS3 model and NEVER plug it into an ethernet cable. I hate the Slim models. I prefer the external features of the regular PS3 consoles, not to mention the backwards compatibility. By the way, some people will get so frustrated that they will simply jump ship and buy a 360. The reverse happened when Xbox Live crashed for an entire month in late December 2007.

The problem is, not even offline games work. I was playing bayonetta and the single player of brutal legend and they both stop working properly.

I am not going to "jump ship" since that would be throwing away all my games collection, but I will cancel all the preordered games I have if this is not corrected in the next 24 hrs.

Today is a holiday (and a long weekend) in my country, this issuecouldn't have a worst timing...

And that is where you, and I, differ from the countless others out there that only have a handful of games. You'd be amazed how many people aren't really all that physically invested in their systems. It's a simple matter of getting mad and trading in their system and what few games they have to get something that makes them happy. I heard so many people talk about how they traded their 360s after Live crashed. Trust me, there will be a lot of people switching over if this is a prolonged event... even if it only lasts a week.

I will never buy a 360, my lil bro has gone thro 3 in a 9 month period. all RROD, first one was 3 days out of the box. I have faith sony will fix this and if not, F- it, i will buy a slim and do as i mentioned in my other post.

DeathTemplar

You know what's funny about the RRoD? It is soooo easy to fix. I mean, my god it's so simple, lol. I found out how to fix it after I already spent money on a new one. When the X-clamp in my 360 breaks this time I will be ready. I just hope popping open my system won't read as "modder" when I sign online, lol. Microsoft has become Pirate Nazis, unfortunately.

Is anyone worried that the reason they are taking so long to tell us what is going on is because there is no firmware fix or waiting it out till tomorrow. Maybe they are keeping quiet because they need to fix every PS3 individually and if that is the case it would cost them thousands of dollars.kewlguitarist

You might want to rethink that estimation. Physically repairing every "Phat" PS3 model would cost millions of dollars in the end... regardless of the simplicity of the fix. Somehow they are going to have to resolve this with either a firmware patch or they're going to have to send out usb drives or CDs, with software, to each and every owner of a "phat" PS3 that needs the fix. Even that is going to be extremely costly.

The other possibility is that this could all just blow over after a day or so... but somehow I kinda doubt it will. Sony has a real problem on their hands. Good luck to them, because they are going to need it. If I didn't already have a 360 I'd be thinking what a lot of other people probably already are, "I'm about to get a friggin' 360 man," lol.
