No problem. I was unlucky enough to get arrested having returned from a loooong questline and tons of exploration. So it just wasn't an option for me. I HAD to get out, lol. That's what I get for accidentally using a spell tome though, I guess. -.-

I nearly fell into the same situation, but I was lucky enough to have a key on hand. I would save and quit. Then see if the guard doesn't respawn. All it should take is being right on top of the gate for the scene to trigger, assuming, I suppose, the guard is in the hall.
Best you can do is wait a few in-game days, 48 min is a day, I think. Then see if the scene hasn't triggered. Watch a movie or two. This is one of the biggest let downs for me, the way the jail system was managed. It's a bit TOO much like what jail would be like... sans other inmates. >.>
My only other gripe is merchants that disappear, quest related or not.
Hey guys,
So yeah, I completed Reynard's questline, after giving him the six journals, and now he's poof, gone. And I'm in post game, so it's a little bit of an issue trying to farm for this armor piece at the moment.
He sells the armguards, along with other gear, after he's given the "scrap iron." If you saved him on the road and bought ten items from him he will give you the quest. After that, you just have to kill a few skeletons or destroy the armor off of a cyclops, pick up the scrap iron and turn it in. I'd imagine quite a lot of people have done this already.
Anyway, Madeleine returned in my game, due to story reasons, so I can offer up the silk lingerie or whatever in trade. Just let me know if you can help out.
Add my psn, "Zardakk" and I'll return the favor. And yes, that's an extra k in my name, not a typo. xD
You may have hit him or done something that freaked him out. Sleep at the inn for a few days. He might come out of it. If not, you'll have to chase him down, I guess. o.0
I'm not having half those problems, but some of the others I am. I yell for help, at death's door... they enchant me, even though their main inclination is Medicant. My main pawn yells about attacking them with fire... enchants my weapon with ice instead... I feel you.xSybille
I'm having that exact problem myself and my pawn is more than capable of NOT doing such things. It's the a.i. system. Hate to say, but it needs a patch.
If you have a female character or a female main pawn, give it to Madeleine. It makes getting some of the armor much easier, to me at least. Pretty much all of the benefits of giving it to Caxton comes in the form of weapons, which I'm fairly sure you can find similar or better weapons not long after you give it to him anyway, lol. Besides, this game has it's way of more than providing you with weapons. Armor though... is a different story. I seem to have terrible luck with drop rates, from chests. -.-
Here's a tip, and something the guide never even mentions... if you do Reynard's last "Search Party" request, he stops the business altogether and you lose him as a merchant from that point on. In fact, I think he flat out disappears.
I don't mind one or two pieces, as it's sometimes an aesthetic choice and doesn't necessarily impact stats. But yeah, overall wearing mostly "early gear" is going to do more harm than good. Even dragonforged it's not as good as some of the stuff you can find, much less buy. Though helmets and capes is not that big of a deal.

Holy crap! Time travel death!
By the way, one outcome of this that's going to suck is that some games are going to probably get delayed when they would've otherwise NOT done so. I just read that this error is causing game developers, that arecurrently working on PS3 games, to abruptly stop in their tracks. It may even cause certain issues with the game(s), some unforseen even.
Bet they stopped working, because they are too traumatized over the thought of their PS3s not working.Nah, they have a job to do. They would've tried for a good while to get it to work. By the way, theywould be considered"company" PS3 systems, not "theirs."
Please everyone. A moment of silence.
