I have to agree I was expecting the controller to evolve into, or incorparate haptic feedback. The touch pad doesn't seem that exciting to me. Hoping the 8th generation Xbox does it. I am finally investing in PC gaming, as mulitplats are far more better on it. I think the 360 and PS3 will be the last HD consoles (at least for me) as both are too similar in their libarary of games unlike the milestones SNES, and Genesis which both had different characteristics in their libarary games, thus making them unique, and standing out from one another. But now it's like, why should I buy Tomb Raider on both platforms, when I can get it on Steam with better performance.
As far as Mobile devices (3DS, Vita, iOS) all have games that make them different. So yes I don't see a reason for PS4, or 8th gen Xbox. Maybe my opinon will change, but if it's anything like the PS360, with nearly the same libarary, count me out.
I say focus on handhelds only, as they do really well in that market. Even when mobile smartphone/tablet games are being played more often. Because when it comes to consoles we typically think Sony, and Microsoft. Nintendo however will likely sell very few unit's maybe like 20 million or so tops. But unlike Sony, and Microsoft they will make a profit from those 20 million or more amount sold.
