No i like 360 being in the top that way sony can at least try to care about customers and our concerns. its been like 7 months and we still dont have customizable soundtracks. But i hope tha it surpasses the wii so that we can calm the children on SW downdownPlayDemon
To be fair the userbase of the Wii isn't particularly limiited to children. It could probably be argued that the core demographic for the PS3/360 is younger. But i also hope the sales cool down a bit, at least until the system starts getting some better third party support As for the PS3 i'd like to see it even out a bit with the 360. The ideal situation is similar to the one pachter proposed (a tie). That way both companies would always be trying to one up each other and users would get all the benefits :)
This isn't a question directed at Sony fanboys just consumers in general. Personally i'd love to see the PS3 make a bit of a comeback next year and i'll tell you why. At the moment there is one graphics focused high definition console that is getting any attention, and that is with good reason (the games). The danger with this is that Microsoft will start taking liberties with their customers if they feel unthreatened. We're already seeing this to a degree with Major Nelson calling Geow fans retards, the poor quality hardware we're seeing even after the release of a new SKU and their insistence on charging for online when ALL of their competitors do not. The PS3 has easily the weakest lineup of exclusives this year, but titles with effort put into them (like white knight story) have already started to emerge and it's becoming clear that the PS3 has alot of capability in terms of raw power (which is after all its main selling point). Personally I hope that next year the PS3 will start to seriously challenge the 360, because that way we will see both parties stepping up their game and this can only mean good news for consumers.
Dissidia seems like it could be the perfect way to celebrate the Final Fantasy 20th anniversary, as it brings together characters from past entries. Jump offers a look at just two members of the cast. Making an appearance from Final Fantasy I is Warrior of Light. From Final Fantasy IX comes Zidane Tribal. Jump also reveals that Kuja, one of the villains from FFIX, will make an appearance.
Square Enix originally described Dissidia as a Progressive Action game. We're still not sure what the progressive part means, but the action part of the equation is pretty clear. The game features close-range combat on a 3D battle field, complete with jumping and special skills.

That's beside the point. You can just get the GBA version. Would your rather not play something you cant already play in some form. The differences in this version will be negligible at best and will make FF4 advance owners feel like they've been screwed
I hate all this milkage by square-enix now... How many times are they going to remake there FFs? They probably know they can't make good games anymore, so they just remake all there older games. I hope mistwalker does well, and square-enix goes backrupt one day :| mind you mistwalker would probably then start milking all there older games then.Dahaka-UK
It's totally ridiculous. I wouldn't mind as much if it was a game we hadnt seen in a while but we just had an updated version of this last year. I still cant understand why they dont just remake some of their unreleased games instead, it's just dumb
it'll be on the DS or Wii. Nothin else is doing too well in japan and Ninendo consoles are traditionally seen as "teh kiddy" i'd like to see it on PS2 though
i wouldnt like it. It would lead to complacency and in turn mediiocrity. IT is BECAUSE Sony and Microsoft are such strong competitors that Nintendo have stepped up their game

I'd hate to see a FF remake PERIOD. I'm not a fan of remaking games that people have already played, and FF7 is onne of the most important RPGs ever made so most preople have played it. Even if you haven't you can just go out and get it for the PS2/PS1

wii will have overtaken the 360 in a few months anyway. no-one outside the US or uk is buying 360 and the Wii has SSBB, Metroid 3 and Mario Galaxy coming. No-one will survive that I hope the PS3 makes a bit of a comeback though
