Seriously though, remaking a game that was ported to the GBA a year ago? That's retarded. Most DS owners who wanted this game have got it and completed it. What's the point of remaking a game that is not only playable on the DS but was marketed towards DS owners as well? It looks really nice, dont get me wrong but it's still a damn stupid idea and i doubt many people are going to pay full price for it. If they're going to remake something, make it something that the west missed out on (like Final Fantasy 3 was). I would personally love to see one of the better dragon quest games or seiken denetsu 3 remade. Instead we're stuck with this trash as for Final Fanatasy dissidia, don't get me started. It seems that the only quality game coming out of the Square party is the last remnant.
You know what i mean though. There's well over a hundred million systems out there capable of playing FF4. If someone wants the game i'm sure they'll have it (i also believe that there's a PS1 version although i havent got it). It's a lame cash in like FF1+FF2 on the PSP.

Just read it on GAF. it doesnt really sound promising given that it's suppoeed to have all the different final fantasy characters in some kind of battle royale. I thought it was going to be some kind of awesome Final Fantasy 1 spinoff. The DS game might turn out to be a DQ4 remake instead of a FF4 remake though. In which case i completely renounce my criticism so far. FF4 remake = rubbish profiteering crap. DQ4 = Good Times
A final fantasy fighting game on the PSP? WTF are you thinking? I know you guys have been skimping on the PSP support lately but at least make something decent for the handheld. and Final Fantasy 4 3D remake for the DS? What the hell is the point? Everyone's already bought the GBA version, why the hell would anyone pay again for the same game on the same console. At least the last remnant looks good, although the guy behind it isn't particularly well known for quality titles

Gamespot is an american website so as i'd expect their tastes aren't particularly varied. show them a bald space marine and/or some terrorists, give them some big guns and they're in heaven. What was your previous one? it's not racist to say alot of americans have similar tastes. It's pretty much common knowledge that japanese people like RPGs and non-games, americans like generic shooters and europeans like football games and GTA clones (even crappy ones). Alot of americans i've spoken to have far more varied tastes (as i've said) but the american gaming media is still predisposed to cater to the majority of teenage boys who like these shooters. You only have to compare the scores in the american media to other countries to see how tastes vary.

That was what i was expecting from next generation titles with some power behind them not just pretty graphics. also the transformer bit was retarded
