I just watched the IGN review

Gears 2 completly trashed resistance 2 in every aspect

GS scores

gears 2 a 9.5 at least

resistance 2 an 8 maybe an 8.5

Asfar as GS goes

Resistance 2 will probably get an 8.0 maybe an 8.5 max

More doesnt always equal better. It depends on the type of game. Gears 1 or 2 simply wouldnt work with 60, 50, or even 20 people in one match, you would die every 30 seconds, and whenever you went for cover, it would all be taken by the other 59 people lol. Resistance on the other hand, is a FPS, and is slower paced, so more players (although you are still in a group of only 8) can be more fun if organized as R2 seems to be

its all about quality and gameplay

gears is designed to be a small scale tactical shooter

resistance was designed for large scale generic combat its as simple as that

i said it before and ill it many more times

gears 2 is the superior game

But hey i understand some people defending resistance 2

some people like inferior quality products so its all good :)

gears 1 had 4v4 but it completly destroyed resistance 20 v 20

resistance 2 could have a thousand players and it would still be a generic shooter and its multiplayer a mindless frag fest

thats also true people dont want to waste there time with resistance 2

gears 2 is obviously going to be vastly superior

thats why its getting way more attention despite being released later this week

its a mindless fragfest basically

but gears 2 reigns supreme

human shields, chainsaw duels, new executions good god

Also gears 2 is getting higher scores across the board then R2 is

1up gave R2 a b and gave gears 2 and A

Gameplayer gave R2 a 9 and Gears 2 a 9.5

i feel sorry for those who thought R2 would be able to compete with gears 2
