Its a good looking game but no where near gears 2

i wish people would stop comparing

gears 2 is simply leagues above r2

u realise resistance 2 gunnas get a better score than than gears 1.5 right its even beating it on this poll claywalker21

gears of war 2 a 9.5

resistance 2 and 8.0 maybe an 8.5 if its lucky

cows should just learn to accept that r2 is going to be an AA title like the original one

Killzone 2 will most likely flop

So God of War 3 is really the only thing the ps3 has to look foward to in 09

The simple truth is gears 2 will demolish r2 in every aspect

did u just say gears 2 has a better story u must be kidding resistance 2 story is way better. and resistance 2s graphics are just as good as gears 2 there just focussing on different things. gears 2 has small maps better textures.resistance 2 colors and scale.the thirty 1 mile wide spaceships in the sky the will fly by u attacking the city if sit in 1 place an hour u even get go on them.i would rather have epic scale than gray tectures.resistance 2 has way better charector models 2 sum 1 post pics so im not flamed.claywalker21

You're saying that because the leap from R1 to R2 is huuuuge. Whereas Gears 1 was way better than R1, Gears 2 does not need to add much to form a better game. When you get to the top level, fine things make the difference.

And as many people said, more people in multiplayer is not always better. Gears style of play simply wouldn't work with more than 16 people, I think. It's more close combat, fast paced stuff.

Gears was designed to be a small scale tactical combat game

Resistance was a generic fps and insomniac thought it would be cool to have huge scale multiplayer

resistance 2 keeps the exact same generic gameplay as the first one, adds in a co op and more people in its multiplayer then adds a few other features like classes,

simply put gears 2 is going to be the superior game

graphics are just a small part

gears 2 improved its gameplay

and brought in new game modes like meat flag

and your right gears 2 isnt as big a leap as r2 because gears 1 was already way better then r2

r2 is just improving on an already mediocre game

r2 is going to be good i wont deny that

but gears 2 is leagues above it
