@Pedro: in regards to the Astro Bot touchpad, I recall it could do things like flicking out shurikens and launch grapple hooks. If you tried to emulate that with gestures I could see the sense controllers hitting each other.

I don't think there would be an efficient way to emulate the various control setups used during the PSVR days. Keep in mind that the dual move controllers were the most common control setup and those controllers have more buttons than the sense controllers. While I would have liked backwards compatibility, I can see why releasing a generic emulator would have created sub-optimal experiences. And if someone's first experience on PSVR2 was on a PSVR game that could really diminish hype.

So this was only the fourth known game of the 12 live service games Sony was planning, right? There was Helldivers 2 (release), The Last of Us Factions (cancelled), The unannounced Horizon game that was leaked (anyone know the status of that one?), and now this. I feel I am missing some.

I hope this doesn't affect the rumored PSVR2 Twisted Metal. Even if that isn't AAA I think it would be cool.

@blaznwiipspman1: I think it would only work with PSVR2 capable PC games. So you would need to buy the game on PC and connect the PSVR2 to the PC.

My guess is that it will only work with specific PC games (like they have to have permission from Sony) and it is a way for Sony to release their games like Horizon Call of the Mountain to PC.

My first thought was I wouldn't buy any console from a company new to gaming after seeing so many companies fail miserably, but after thinking a bit I would consider it if it met the following criteria:

1) It would have to be cheap, and with how little I've been spending on gaming I am talking about nearly giving away their system. Unrealistic I'm sure but I think it would be a bold way to enter the market.

2) It would have to have interesting exclusives. I'm mainly talking games but this could apply to exclusives features like a type of VR that uses haptic gloves or something like that.

3) It would have to be playable offline. I don't want the system to be obsolete if they give up and close down the servers (looking at you Stadia).

@HalcyonScarlet: I would like to know what rules you are talking about. It's not like Sony fans never brought up third party games in the past. Games like Final Fantasy X for the PS2, Metal Gear Solid 4 on the PS3, or Bloodborn on PS4 were never brought up as ammunition in System Wars before, right?

I'm trying to avoid trailers so as to retain the "wow" factor of playing this game, but how far does this game get into the FF7 story? I'm guessing it's going to go right before Cid's introduction as I haven't seen anything on him. If this is the case, this pattern seems to suggest that there will be like 7-8 games in this remake.

I don't think that will be the case, playing the first remake I know they aren't following the story strictly. I'm guessing there will be only 4 games in this remake. Has anyone heard how many there are going to be?

Terraria is my first pick, and it's crazy there is still free content being added to that game 10+ years later.

Runner ups:

- Final Fantasy Tactics

- Castlevania symphony of the night

- Dark Souls

@Pedro: I'm with ermacness on this one; I have been here a long time but don't recall such emphasis on 1st party exclusives as Xbox gamers are claiming. I know of Sony fans praising Sony 1st party, as well as downplaying 3rd party exclusives as being just timed exclusives (which many were). I don't see that as "only 1st party games matter".

@HalcyonScarlet: I think you are confusing 1st party games with exclusives; Sony fans have been obsessed with exclusives since PS1 times (especially PS1 times). Why would Sony fans be dismissive of 3rd party exclusives?

I could see Microsoft going next gen early to cut their obligations to the Series S. If that happens it would be funny seeing Xbox fans complaining about the base PS5 holding back gaming.
