@Spartan_418 Actually, all of those Windows 8 platforms share the same software eco-system, it just that not all software will support all of the platforms, much like how the iphone and ipad can use a lot of the same stuff.
@Kenshin0011 @Jwash16 That's just it though. You, along with a lot of other people are making comparisons that aren't quite right. If MS does go forward with this, it's not going to be a peripheral to the XBox360. It's going to be a stand alone device, with some cross system functionality, like the Vita with the PS3.
Will it compete with the WiiU? It's not supposed to. This is supposed to compete with other tablets with more of a focus on gaming than multi-tasking. MS's next home console is supposed to compete with the WiiU.
Also, you're asusming this thing is goign to start at square one for software. It's going to most likely be built on the Windows 8 platform, and have those apps ready for it, and maybe even XBLA games, like how the Xperiaplay had separate PS certified games on top of Android.
This is much larger than your little WiiU world, and may appeal to people not interested in home consoles all together.
@kidnatural I just had to look up if Skyrim had one. It being 30 dollars and only available from one seller, officially, probably had something to do with that, lol. I wonder how US VG OST sales compare to Japanese sales.
@CraZkid37 That depends on the game and company. Some companies want reviews withheld, usually because they don't want poor reviews to hurt sales. In the case of a game like Halo 4 though, paired with MS's confidence in it, they probably wanted the reviews out early to build even more hype.
