@Downloadpilot @krazeekhujo05 You're both talking variants of BS. All of the fighters named by you guys are of high quality, and have their major strengths.
Tekken took a dive with 4, but brought it all back with a vengeance in 5, and it's been going strong ever since. Its weakness probably lies in its story that has gone completely out of control.
You can say VF is bland, since it doesn't go for flash, but it the least basic of any of the 3D fighters, which is why its learning curve is so damn high.
Dead or Alive has been evolving nicely, although I hear 4 kind of sucked the big one. I've always enjoyed this series' focus on combos and counters. There is a fun factor to this game's mechanics, because it's probably the easiest of the big name fighters to pick up and play.
Soul Calibur is kind of an odd one to put in here, since it's a weapon fighter, but I'll give. This series is also a strong one, but honestly has a different fan base than the hand-to-hand fighters do. I think this series has gone through a lot of changes, some good, some bad. All told, it's a solid fighter, but I think the most recent one was more of a lateral move than a step forward.
@Cruisemissile @The-Neon-Seal I would say this is true of an OS made by a PC maker. Microsfot, however, is not the sole maker of PCs, and thus, you can view Windows as a 3rd party OS. It does come free with new purchases, and its upgrades are all free. By contrast, Apple OS charges for its updates.
@skoypidia The new version of windows always comes pre-installed on new computers/laptops once its released. That's how MS has always rolled. Yes, I have read about Windows 8. Yes, I have beta tested it. YES, I have seen that there's a freaking CLASSIC mode. People are acting like its going to be impossible to do mods. Was making mods for Windows ever simple? No. Closed platform? HELLO, it's called releasing your program on the internet, instead of the app store. You can do the same thing on Apple OS. What is so damn hard to understand about this?
@Dragon5-1 Yes, I do know he's making a new game, and no longer considers himself, or his company to be indie. What does that have to do with this? This article is about his comments regarding Minecraft, and yes, I think he's still riding it; and yes, I think his ego is oversaturated. But that's the nature of fame and twitter.
This guy needs to stop riding his one creation like it makes him a top name in gaming. The real sad part is some people are actually eating out of his hand over this.
@Joshua2222 It's called money. This set is already a great deal as is for 40 dollars. I'm guessing Ubisoft wants a chance at some extra money from purchases of this set.
@DETfaninATL That depends on when you got it. The un-patched launch version for PS3 had a lot of problems, especially when compared to the 360 version. Patches helped most of the problems, such as long load times and graphic stuttering, but the visuals were never brought up to par.
It's true, as a complete package, it was still the same game, and as enjoyable from a gameplay point of view. As a company, however, I can see how they're disappointed with the outcome of their decision, and consider it a failure on their part.
