@spike6958: Every other Bounty Hunter that had two seconds of screen time are all better than Greedo. Hey, you could use General Veers, or Admiral Piet, or even, I don't know... maybe Grand Moff Tarkin? All better options than freaking Greedo. Being well known as an internet meme (and an overall joke of a character) isn't really a plus here... It is Greedo. Just... bleh.
Greedo... All these Star Wars characters, and they pick Greedo... I would take even IG-88 over Greedo. At least that is something cool and different. And Nein Nunb over Lando, or Chewy, or Obi-Wan... Sure thing there, EA.
You know, I don't really care either way. It just upsets me that the way this is phrased that Mara Jade probably doesn't exist at all now. I mean, I was still holding out a sliver of hope that she did just because she is really popular, and with the news Star Wars: Rebels may introduce Thrawn, I thought maybe some other characters could show up. Because Mara is one of my favorite characters of Star Wars lore. Sad face. :(
@Spitznock: Whether developers admit it or not, all games with microtransactions are built around them in some fashion. They want your money. Sure, you can get the stuff normally... it will just take much longer than it normally would if microtransactions didn't exist. They tend to make the game more frustrating for those that don't give them extra money.
@jtrousd: You are dead right on Activison starting this bad trend. Actually, horrible DLC practices started the current trend we are currently on now, and has only moved on to microtransactions instead because they can nickle and dime people more effectively. All the while they smile with their mouth full of crap and spew "it is all optional" while they actually tend to design the games around the microtransactions to make them more appealing in the long run. Also, content is the biggest problem. Right now we are at a cross-roads. We are still getting the bulk game, but the more people accept and buy into microtransactions and very shady DLC, the less content we will end up getting in the future.
Ya see, THAT is the type of attitude companies WANT right now. They are trying to lull people into a slow progression of excepting this type of thing as normal. And then they will slowly acclimate people into the next level of BS. And then the next level. And the next. All the way until you buy a full-priced sandbox with barely anything in it at all and they sell you the game in piecemeal or through microtransactions. But don't worry, they will tell you that it is all optional, and if you want to spend 10+ hours grinding in order to play the game normally, you can. Don't fall for their tactics. People continually complaining about microtransactions in full-priced games is a GOOD thing. It keeps companies on their toes about what they are allowed to get away with.
