i guarantee sony will eventually discontinue the 80 gig and all new sku's will have no bc. they already went from hardware bc to emulation bc to none and all new models will be the same.

Not really. Cutting the hardware BC cut costs. They won't discountinue the 80 gig, so stop mindlessly speculating on things. The 80 gig is available RIGHT NOW. and it has BC RIGHT NOW.

Microsoft is screwing the consumer(yet again) for pricing it them at 15 bucks. They shouldnt be more than 10 dollars.

What are you talking about? THe 80gig PS3 is still iout there and has near full PS2 BC. Sony hasn't taken any chance away for BC, they just offered an cheaper alternative(40 GB)

I have a 60 gig anyway so I have BC anyway though.

Not really a big deal since the xbox 1 didn't have that many good games(worst library out of any major console), especially not 1st party(which are the games that will be put updownloadable). You can't even get KOTOR.

Psychonauts wasn't published by Microsoft. It came out ont the PS2.

Just like Lair devs said its not possible on 360. Just like Ubisoft said the next splinter cell isn't possible on ps3. Uncharted could be done on 360. I've played the demo and while looks great its nothing special. And the 4 discs is what? A heavily CGI cutscene intensive game. Mass Effect is 6.74 GB's and has 70 hours of gameplay which is about as long as guess what, Blue Dragon which is on 3 discs. FMV or CGI cutscenes take up way more space. Games that use in game engine for cutscenes have yet to fill up a single DVD9. Oh and Oblivion is another example of a game that took maybe barely over half of the space on a DVD9. That game was a long game too. 100+ hours i think. Wasn't there a ps1 game that was on 4 discs or more. Yes there was. No one complained then. Why are you making it such a big deal now. I know your just a die hard cow that can't take it that GTAIV is getting exclusive content on the 360 which the ps3 will never see light of day.

First off, Mass Effect is not 70 hours, it's like a 20 hour game.

2nd, even if what you're saying is true about in game engines and filling up space, Many of the top games are CGI heavy(MGS, FFXIII). So they couldn't be done on the 360.

And of course there was games for the PS1 that had 4 discs. Final Fantasy VIII is one of them and that came out like 5 years after the PS1 and there wasn't a better/cheaper format avaliable.

360 has a 3 disc game like a year and a half after release. And already has a 4 disc game too.

All you did was prove that there are advantages with having Blu Ray. You did not prove that 360 games aren't going to get better.

The whole point was that there is a big advantage to Blu-Ray.

And 360 games really aren't going to get better, the DVD9 is basically maxed out. It's why you may end up seeing 360 games with 6+ discs soon.

Cows, for your own sakes, give up the "Blu Ray Advantage" card. It's been shattered. Graphically X360 is equal to PS3 an in some cases better. This is NOT a slam against PS3. I fully acredit it as a very capable console. And please PLEASE don't give me the tired old "just wait" either. Yes PS3 games will get better. So will X360 games.

White Knight Story Comes out next month in Japan though and will blow the others out the water.
