PSN and XBL may be better, but that does not automatically mean that the Wii's online is bad. I would say its decent, it has a lot of good online games, especially games like Monster Hunter 3 and Mario Kart. As well as the ability to download VC and Wiiware games & channels. The only things that are bugging me are the friend codes and the online accessability. Nintendo should work on it's online system.LastRambo341I think it's your inner fanboy saying that. It is terrible dude. Nintendo should be ashamed
They could make it like they did with the N64 ram packs. The games are playable but to enjoy them at full capacity you need the wii hd skuI agree with the first 2 but I disagree with the 2nd one because if they give developers the option to make games in 720p that will alienate all the people that didn't buy the Wii HD SKU.

This is just a thread where you can discuss how each company could improve in your eyes. I'll do each company for the next 3 days and feel free to add any comment or improvement you wish.
My Nintendo Wish list
1. Make a whole new Online Structure. The wii's online interface is pathetic. It seems like the Wii is using an online structure from like the 1990's and needs to badly be updated. Take out the friend codes, Make every game have a universal friends list ala xbox live/psn and just make it better to use. It's so backwards instead of adding someone's name you add a 12 digit number. It is also awkward that each game has it's own friend code system. It's weird how the wii is made with casual players in mind but their online interface is by far the most difficult to use. Oh, and for gods sake add a mic/headset for voice chat.
2. 3rd party relationships need to improve: The 3rd party support on Wii is pathetic. When is the last AAA 3rd party game? So many casual trash games made by 3rd party. The wii is literally 3rd party's toilet in regards to software. Add some quality control, work with 3rd parties, just get better games and stop having these long droughts.
3. Add a HD sku to the wii: I am not saying Wii 2. I am saying add a wii with an improved processor and an hdmi out port. Scale games to 720p and even get developers option to make 720p games. I would pay another 50-100 bucks for an hd option on the wii.
Bottom line: Nintendo has made buttloads of money with the way the wii is now. Sooner or later microsoft/sony are going to start chipping in on the casual market. Nintendo will need long time fans to continue in this buisness. I rarely play my wii but with better software then the sky's the limit.
When you look at the Wii's pathetic hardware and how much money that Nintendo has made, I can't blame microsoft for going a new route. I hope they still bring the good games or I'll drop them like a bad habit. That is a very odd business move and I personally think they are wasting their time with Natal. Motion controls are out there for $250, why would people run out and buy a $300 console and then a $100+ controller that isn't used in most games?
This whole Natal thing is a bad joke in my opinion. The videos of people playing it are very sad (people jumping around and looking like fools), the games so far that I've seen have been nothing more than enhanced Playstation Eye games that I played back on the PS2, and to top it off the prices are going to be way to high.
Microsoft should stick to their strengths. An increadibly powerful online network. Use that to their advantage even more. Get some more R&D money going to 1st party titles and really use the strengths of the 360 to make some AAA quality titles that sell.

I agree with most of what you saidNintendo was likely given one task, a task to save the company after how bad the Gamecube flopped.
Nintendo knew they would've been outmatched and outsold if they went in the direction the PS3/360 went (hardcore games) so they went for the non gamers.
Wii's success came SOLEY from Wii sports being boxed in with the Wii which is an ingenius plan since it made people go out and buy a Wii just for that.
Had it not shipped with Wii sports the success of the Wii would have been a whole lot different.
When casuals and non gamers picked up the Wii the novel was there because Wii sports while fun gets old pretty quick.
Why do you think the Wii has the most consoles sold yet the lowest sales when it comes to non Wii sport like games?
99% of the people who camped out for a Wii at launch likely don't use their Wii anymore or sold, this is what pretty much everyone around me did as they all came to the conclusion that the Wii is really a gamecube with a waggle stick.
So in the end Wii=a short Novelty which was Nintendos last ditch plan to stay in the console business.
It was cheap to make andas like I said its a slim game cube with a waggle stick and with the boxed in Wii sports which was also cheap to make they banked big and laughed and are laughing all the way to the bank.
