Motion controls have been on PC before.

ask Microsoft about it. and then ask them about Kinect while you're at it.

mudman91878

not motion controls like the wii or move, pc needs to stay in there own lane

So if PC shouldn't be copying consoles then consoles shouldn't be copying PC either right?

So get rid of your online, hard drives, ability to patch games, downloadable content, etc...

Virtually every single feature of consoles is one PC had first.

correct /thread lmbo :-D

I see you're not aware of the fact that Wii motion controls were built by Gyration, which just used the tech that their PC accessories have been built around.

Even in motion controls it's consoles that copied PC, not the other way around. As always pc proves itself to be the real innovator of gaming industry 8)

uuuuuuh no. }:-| NES glove is the first

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Power_Glove

The Power Glove sold over 100,000 units in the U.S.[citation needed] Its gross sales totaled $88 million.[1] The games that were especially made for the Power Glove sold poorly and the Power Glove itself was a critical and commercial failure. However the technology used in the development of the Power Glove paved the way for the highly popular and successful Wii console

Some of the replies I've seen here would make a newcomer think of Gamespot as a place for mentally challenged people.

Please avoid saying such abominations. Motion controls have been used for decades now, especially on PC in practically every human-like animation. Your consolist desire to downplay PC's history will not change that.

You do realize motion controls are NOTa new concept. There have been motion controls since the NES (Powerglove). This is not a new concept. Using the word "copy" to describe anything that old is just hillarious.

Puckhog04

but the glove wasnt 1 to 1 ratio like move for ps3, and it wasnt in 3d space like wii and it didnt revolutionize gaming from 3d implementation nor did pc

ive been gaming since NES, and yes i like regular controls but i feel there is an advantage to motion controls when applied to 3D graphics....the advantage is being emersed in a virtual world like no other, you cant be emersed ina virtual world better or the same with regular analog controllers...i think analog and dpads are for 2d games and 3rd person action adventures...i believe we'll be using both control types int he future for those types of games...

as old as it is and as little memory it takes up, it should be on every phone available today

i'm not willing to spend 160 dollars on a handheld system when i already got an iphone or motorola droid, just to play some old 2d games and 3d games that weren't even as good as the 2d games

i know you will say what is he talking about? 3d games not being better than 2d games? but lets face it...... n64 sucked and those 3d games will never be better than the hay day of nintendo games which were snes and NES...ocarina of time was the only classic on n64. and that will never be on a phone...
