Oh ho ho! Struck a nerve, have we? I'll have you know that Uncharted 2 is VERY mainstream friendly, because of the easy control scheme and the low level of skill and challenge. My sister-in-law never plays shooters OR platformers on any format, and she liked and finished that game.My 87 years old grandma that never touched a controller tryed MHTri, loved it and finished it becouse its VERY mainstream friendly... see wut i did there?[QUOTE="roxlimn"][QUOTE="silversix_"]Agree with MW2 but gears and uncharted? Get outta here imo... you sir don't know wtf *casual* means.silversix_
This is main stream friendly

This isn't

Not saying Gears 2 or other *hard to get into* games doesn't have casual noobs in them but if you're a *mean stream nab* you won't like these games cuz you'll get your azz whooped. Get it or not yet? You know whats funny? It looks like the people in the Wii fit picture are smiling at the locust being ripped to shreds... I didn't know you could play Gears of War on Wii Fit, and use a chainsaw by leaning your body to the left :P
Since Nintendo is the only company that has both on the market i'm gonna choose them. It doesn't hurt that they've pioneered both industries as well :Pnintendo-4lifeNintendo indeed pioneered both markets, but we never know if Sony can provide some competition with the Move and PSP2 (if the PSP2 ever comes out soon I will be happy)
The great thing about gaming nowadays is that each of the three main companies now offer motion sensing (consoles) as well as portable gaming (handhelds). At this time, Nintendo still dominates both these markets, but I'm sure they will be facing harsh competition in the years to come. Lets take a look at the Motion sensing + Portable gaming combinations each company offers:
Nintendo = Wiimote + DS. Soon to be followed by 3DS. These guys currently dominate both markets, and they are very good at what they do.
Sony = PS Move + PSP. I am personally excited for the Move, and I hope the PSP2 will be announced someday soon. PS3 and PSP will likely be a nice combination
Microsoft = Project Natal + Windows Phone 7. This is perhaps the most unique combination. Natal is motion sensing with no buttons, and Windows Phone 7 offers people to play XBLA games on their phones and even unlock achievements with it. You can also communicate with your XBL friends on your Windows 7 phone, so this will be pretty nice indeed.
So yeah, which combination of motion sensing + protable gaming do you like best?
Just because Steam might work on Linux does not mean all the games will work on it.if this happens i will almost never use windows 7

[QUOTE="Jamex1987"]Ubuntu better than Windows? Are you kidding me? Windows users don't use a terminal and rely on applications that have no graphical user interface. Many of the linux drivers are really bad like the Audio drivers on linux are terrible. Each update ends up breaking something, so many different distros and packages and the list goes on and on. They released 10.04 and it has so many problems. Raid installation is completely screwed up even though people reported the bug during the beta. Linux is a bag of problems if you ask me and designed for people with plenty of time on their hands. i honestly don't see Steam coming to any linux distro.[QUOTE="adamosmaki"] Same here. The only trhink that keeps me on windows is games. Ubuntu is much better than windowskuraimen
Linux users are too cheap to purchase a real OS and they use free software so how are you going to get them to pay for anything.
Windows is one of the worst OS ever designed. Their memory handling and registry makes it lag and get filled with garbage more than any other OS out there which also makes it a haven for viruses, if you don't have admin priviledges Windows is basically useless. Linux distros are much more efficient and well designed and the only thing that keeps it from being the absolute best is some compatibility problems due to market share issues. It is not true that with every update things break. I could say that Windows users are too ignorant to use a real OS. Google uses a lot of free software and they are one of the most wealthy software companies. You clearly don't know what you're talking about. Windows 7 is very good and does not have any of the problems you are talking about. Windows XP and Vista were horrible in certain ways, but Windows 7 works perfectly fine. And its not like Linux is perfect either, I used to have Fedora Linux on my PC and was horrible and used to crash alot.
