Now however, as I've said many times before, what makes the Wiimote unique isn't what it does but rather the fact that it is the standard controller for its respective console. From a developer's perspective that is an important distinction. It means you don't have to split your potential audience by building games for the controller.

ThePlothole

Just like how Nintendo never split their audience between those who have the MotionPlus add-on and those without the MotionPlus add-on, right?

Sony excels in game design. Ever heard of Uncharted 2, Killzone 2, God of War, etc? Yeah, some of the people who made those games will be working on the Move as well. Sony even rivcals Nintendo when it comes to games design.

People have said it looks a lot like Prince of Persia. And it does. Maybe that's a good thing, who knows. Robots tend to be boring though.

Although Youtube says that monkeys and robots could be decent ingredients.

Apparently Peter Molyneux beat the ninjas to the punch.

Original (I assume)

InsaneBasura

I was playing Prince of PErsia today on my PS3. Anything that resembles that is totally a good thing ;)

[QUOTE="PandaBear86"][QUOTE="delta3074"]doesn't matter, the fact that you NEED the Ps eye to make the motion controller work is a fail for me, they may do a bundle, but will it be as cheap as buying the motion controller stand alone?, i think not, it's the very definition of milking "if you want to use this, you have to buy this as well", it's just like SONY's 3D implementation, if you want to use 3D you have to buy an expensive SONY 3D compatible TV, at least the wii-mote is a standalone controller.delta3074
The Wiimote needs a sensor bar too. But people don't consider it milking because the sensor is included in the box. Well, the PS3 will have a special bundle which includes the PS-Eye as well. I can understand that exisiting PS3 owners will be annoyed by this, but thats understandable.

but that's th point really, the Ps3 is already set up for bluetooth to detect the six-axis,it already has a 'bluetooth bar', so to speak , why did they not use that for the motion controller?, or why not release a bluetooth bar with the controller?, no, to me this looks like they are using one product to help shift another, not to mention i can buy a wii bluetooth bar anywhere for about 5 quid, lol

The PS Eye camera tracks the position of the lightbulb on the Move controller. A "Bluetooth bar" can't detect a glowing light. I don't think you understand how the PS Move works. It needs to have a camera, and the PS3 console does not have an in-built camera

PS Eye camera is used to detect the motion controller, so its not really milking at all. Plus, Sony will release a bundle, PS Eye + Move controller + free game, so it saves you money that way.

I was playing Prince of Persia on my PS3 today, and have to say I like the way Enslaved looks. Just like Prince of Persia, but set in post-apocalyptic New York :P

[QUOTE="delta3074"][QUOTE="nunchuck47"]

It's bound to be more accurate than the Wii controller because it's coming out later. Sony would hardly release a controller that was less accurate would they?

However it's an embarrasingly bad rip-off of the Wii remote. It's even got a "Nunchuck attachment"

Downsides compared to the Wii remote though:

1. It needs the Eye.

2. The Nunchuck has no motion functionality (AFAIK) whereas the Wii nunchuck does.

3. It's non-standard and will have limited implementation.

It also looks a bit ridiculous but maybe that's just down to my own personal tastes.

Selling it could be a problem as well, eg

A Dad is buying a PS3 game in a game store, store assistant says would you like to buy one of these Move controllers at the same time.

"Maybe, what is it?"

"It's like a Wii controller for the PS3"

"How much is it?"

"£50/$80" (pure speculation)

"Okay I might stretch to that"

"You'll also need a Playstation Eye"

"What!?"

"And some games"

"Never mind, we've already got a Wii"

you have to buy the Ps eye to use the motion controller? really? stuff that then, and people accuse MS of milking there fanbase

PS Eye camera is used to detect the motion controller, so its not really milking at all. Plus, Sony will release a bundle, PS Eye + Move controller + free game, so it saves you money that way.

Ever heard of Natal? Buggy but way better? Fighting for second place again?ocstew
Natal isn't buggy from what I have seen, but that is a completely seperate technology from PS Move. And no, they are not fighting for second place. Wii is only first place in sales... thats it.

psp graphics I would say 2005

More like 2001

Name one handheld device from 2001 that had similar graphics to PSP today. You are a PC gamer, I can understand a PC from 2001 can beat PSP graphics, but you have to understand that handheld devices have smaller chipsets and need to have lower voltages in order to save battery life. Wake me up next time your high-end desktop PC can fit in your pocket and can run for 5 hours on a small lithium battery.

eh, still not buying Move until i see the need to do so...... and from what I have seen, there just isn't a clear reason for me to buy it anyway.funsohng
Ever wanted to know what it feels like to use motion controls..... AND play games in HD at the same time? You can't do that on a Wii ;)
