Well it's Thanksgiving and this means the best dinner of the year :D. Huge turkey, and other cool stuff that you never eat except on Thanksgiving. Well I probably should have done this but I turned 16 on Nov 3 and I had a pretty good party, except for some reason my parents invited all of their friends and family before I had a chance to invite mine :( so they invited way too many damn people and I wasn't able to get any of my friends, luckily none of them are pissed off *phew*. As for presents,I got a watch (a rather nice one too not a nerdy digital one lol), $200, oh and I nearly sh*t my pants when my parents drove in with a black 2010 Toyota Corrolla S....luckily its a lease so in the end we're only paying $7200 for the three years that I'm keeping it instead of the full price. But if I don't get straight As I get my dad's car...which actually isn't that bad, he drives a 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe I'm just gonna have trouble parking the damn thing -_-...Sadly I didn't get any video games, but yesterday which was the first day of break I was able to sit down and I found two really cool things today!

#1 You can use a freaking knife in Killzone 2!!

#2 Playing Killzone 2 rambo style with a knife or any gun in the game (using cover as little as possible) is a great way to relieve stress! Even though it results in multiple deaths XD

And...my cousin just got the MW2 360 bundle (not Divinity). But he can't open it till Christmas break :P but that means I won't be able to play it since I'll be in Egypt for the first time in 9 years from Dec 10 - 30 :(, oh well I'll play it someday. And I've decided to ditch MW2 and I'm gonna get Battlefield Bad Company 2 in the summer...HAVE YOU SEEN THE DAMN GAME?!?! Compared to BC2, MW2 looks so generic. I loved Battlefield 1943 so I know I'm gonna have some fun with this one. :D So Roman did this, so I'm gonna list of the things I'm thankful for :)

1. My family and friends, to me nothing goes before my family or friends (except God). Without them I don't know who I would be.

2. Good health, with swine flu going around and the fact that my school is FILLED with people to the point where parking has become a pain in the ass, I'm still swine flu-less :). Sure I got colds alot and my worst sickness was stomach flu but who doesn't get sick that badly.

3. I'm living in the world's richest country and even in this crappy economy both parents still have a job and we're still able to buy a bunch of cool crap. TBH I would have been totally satisfied with a car from even the '70s...as long as it works and doesn't require a ton of maintenance and I can drive BY MYSELF!!!!! I'm happy. But the fact that I've been given a brand new car is just amazing so I am definitely thankful for that and all the other wealth that not just I but all Americans and Canadians have.

4. I already said my family and friends but I have a few special ones who have lifted me up when I needed it most.

5. I'm finishing high school in freaking college....First of all you kinda have to be smart and mature to do that. Plus it shortens time, I know people who are struggling in high school and there I am getting good grades in college. Not without a price though, had to put aside the games, and as you can see I can't post a blog as much as I used to.

6. All my friends on GS! If I still remember correctly my first (and best) GS friends would have to be neil2468, edpeterson and Roman_Irishman (no they are not in order :P) Without you guys I would never use GS at all, and everyone else on GS you guys are awesome too! But I have known these guys for a good two years now.

Two words for you guys: RESISTANCE TRES!!!!!!!!!

It is real, the only reason why it's advertised as a billboard for now is because Insomniac wanted it to be advertised in the movie Battle: Los Angeles. So they had put the billboard up there while the movie was still filming, which means they intend to announce it soon. It seems that the game will still take place in America or atleast a significant portion of it. Lol that's just the name of a band I just started listening to. They're not really that great but their name is AWESOME :D! Anyways started school two weeks ago and I never really had time to comment so sorry bout that lol. My bday is coming up Nov 3 and Uncharted 2 is looking amazing (screw Modern Warfare 2 I got summer :lol:) so I guess you know what that means :). And I found a super nice 2001 Honda Accord EX. It's a 2 door coupe but it's not really a sports car (it's 4 cyl :() but since I don't wanna shell out all my cash for gas and it looks kinda sporty from far away so my dad and I are gonna bringmy uncleof ours who's an engineeand knows a sh!tload about cars so he can make sure it isn't in crappy condition (the price is really good only $7999 and the miles on it are 74k). I was hoping I'd get a Mustang (only American car I would EVER buy) but couldn't find any decent ones under 10k. Anyways school is really good. But it's actually college since I'm doing this thing where I finish my high school requirements and take college classes at a community college. So this is gonna cut down my years in university. I plan on going to pharmacy school so if I don't screw things up I can get out by the time I'm 22 years old and most people get out at 24 years old. But the downside is I can't play any video games lol but now I guess I got other things to do :). RESISTANCE 3!

Why the hell did I pick Resistance 3??

Even though its not even announced yet, I am extremely excited for this game because I am dying to know what happens next. If you saw the ending of Resistance 2 you will know what I'm talking about. The ending was just so abrupt and yet so unexpected and now most Resistance fans (like me) are willing to kill for answers. I am confident that this game will hit stores Fall 2010 seeing as ever since the PS3 launched Insomniac has been releasing Resistance on one year and Ratchet & Clank on the next year and this year its Ratchet & Clank, so Resistance 3 should come next year :D!! The first 2 games were amazing and I couldn't be more excited for a 3rd installment in my favorite video game franchise! I'm already beating the first game again just to jog my memories and it feels like an old classic which is actually a really good thing :). If you haven't tried the games yet play them. So far the Resistance series is much much better than Halo and just a bit better than Call of Duty. Has one of the best and most complicated stories for almost any sci fi game I've ever played and is intense. The one complaint I have had from the first 2 games (don't know about Retribution since I haven't played it) is that the game isn't really emotional even though it could really be. Also the characters aren't very well developed, I'm really hoping that Insomniac fixes this and doesn't rely on intel documents to develop the characters. Also Resistance 2 dropped the naration from Rachel Parker, that really helped explain things in Fall of Man, that could really be useful in Resistance 3 but if kept to a minimal. So I'm just gonna do a countdown of what games I'm excited to play in the near future, both released and unreleased.

7. Demon's Souls

Why?

Well, the gameplay is quite similar to that of Legend of Zelda, so it's not one of those RPGs where you select an attack then you stare at the screen for 5 minutes as your character preforms stiff attacks and screams random Japanese words... So there's real action in it and the customization looks like a ton of fun. Also it has an extremely unique online gameplay type thing...at a later point in a game you can force yourself into other people's games and kill them or help them on a boss fight. Or you can leave warning messages for people to see. Also you can read blood spilled on the ground which shows the death of another player and you can use that to avoid making the same mistake the unfortunate player did. It sounds like a great idea but I'm excited to see how good the story is and how this whole online works out. But what keepsit this lowis its extreme difficulty. The game has been named as mercilessly hard. That's not a bad thing but this is what kept me from enjoying RE4, its was too frustrating. But hopefully if the game isn't too hard on some sort of consequence or whatever then maybe I'll check this one out.

6. Alpha Protocol

Why?

Let's see I've always wanted to try out a really good RPG but never got the chance to, and I effing love James Bond. This my friends is an Espionage RPG. So all I can say is HELL YEAH!!!!!!!!! There aren't really many details on the storyline but the company making the game is known for delivering great RPGs (Obsidian is the company) but a few things keep this from being a bit higher. For one it's being published by Sega...I don't know if it's just me or if Sega has been really sucking in the past few years. But I won't judge this game based on it's publisher. The game looks to be what I have always wanted to see in an intense Spy movie, you make choices, you choose how to complete missions, you can even give your spy a freaking lumberjack beard!!! :lol: If this game gets a good score then screw Modern Warfare 2 lol! Which leads me to my next one...

5. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

Why?

Well I do love FPS games and I played a lot of CoD4 and I loved it! The story line was actually pretty good and the multiplayer kicked ass. Especially with Divinity's stoner cl@$$:P. So I'll definitely look forward to kicking some ass both online and off with this one. It's not number one because this will be my first CoD if I ever buy this game also I played the CoD: WaW demo and the enemy AI was stupid as hell and the co op absolutely sucked! I mean I don't know why but my teamates were the biggest dumbasses in gaming history! One guy kept on dying and dying and dying and I was getting so many points just from reviving the dude! I'm hoping I won't run into retards in this one with the co op mode.

4. Metal Gear Solid: Rising

Why?

IT'S F***ING METAL GEAR SOLID THAT'S WHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But.... it's not number one because it's not being developed by the same team that produced the legendary MGS4. Kojima himself won't be working on it. But since they are part of Kojima I do have faith that this will be an excelent game. But I'm wondering if we'll get to see how Raiden got into his cyborg suit or better yet seeing him as a child soldier in Liberia (maybe it was in MGS2 I don't know). Also it's gonna be on 360 and PC. Not a bad thing but how is the game gonna look better and preform better if it's not PS3 exclusive...360 is a powerful machine but PS3 is stronger and MGS4 barely fit on the bluray disc. But we'll see what happens.

3. Resistance Retribution

Yea I know this game already came out but I am a huge fan of the Resistance games. And I heard so many great reviews about this game. But I don't wanna spend much money on any PSP games so I'm just gonna wait for a price drop. By next spring probably. Anyways I heard that this game has the best plot in all the games released so far. And I'm really hoping this game will give me some info about Resistance 2's surprising ending. Also the Resistance connect thing looks pretty kickass so :)

2. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

Why?

I probably won't buy the first game so I'm gonna go wikipeding like hell if I get this game! But this game just looks stunning! The e3 trailer knocked me out with the train sequence in the end. The multiplayer looks simple yet ridiculously fun! The co op mode and the gold rush mode (like horde mode) looks a lot of fun. and the story line looks great as well. This game I believe will finally begin pushing the system to it's limits. It also has that feeling of a summer action movie which I have always searched for in video games. Also the cinema mode looks pretty awesome. This may even give me a chance of posting some footage. I don't know how to get the videos off my ps3 hard drive but I'll manage lol.

And for number 1 you will have to guess what game it is. If you are correct you get a virtual high five. So that would be a *high five* :). It may be obvious but I'll give you a hint...it's not officially announced yet. So guess and I will reveal the game on my next blog!

Well I just put up a reviewfor Battlefield 1943. This is actually my first review in a long time. And reviewing games is why I joined GameSpot in the first place lol, I had no idea that I was gonna meet you guys :D. So if you want to check it out and tell me what you think about it :). I might post a Killzone 2 review and a Gears or War 2 review sometime in the future. I got a ton of time since school doesn't start till September 21. Why its so late? I am doing this thing where I am taking both High School Classes and College Classes at the same time in a nearby community college. So technically I'm going to 11th grade...but at a college :D. So basically this is the longest summer ever...Started on June 4 and will end on September 21 :) :) wait...actually it should be :( since its gonna be so goddamn boring!! Also I'm thinking of getting of Uncharted: Drake's Fortune before summer is over. I'm gonna be getting Modern Warfare 2 for my bday which is in Nov :D so if you got a PS3...once its out we are gonna prestige all night long my fellow gamers :lol:! And maybe I might get Uncharted 2 for Christmas which so far looks to be the game of the year! Wow I haven't posted a blog in nearly a month so I don't really know where to begin.. I guess I'll start off with the fact that I bought Battlfield 1943 and for the price tag of $14.99 it is literally a steal. But one thing you could do (PS3 owners I'm talking to you) is download the demo and have a friend who already bought the game download the 6 kb unlock thing from his download list. Since the whole game is only 580(ish) MB which is quite amazing lol. Also Divinity came to my house for two weeks and we just chilled and did a bunch of crazy crap like pissing off hot lifeguards at a waterpark by doing these things:

1. Standing up while on an operating waterslide (ME)

2. Starting a fight with tubes and calling a lifeguard a b1tch (Divinity)

3. Going down the slide and purposely getting stuck in the tunnel waiting for Divinity to go down MULTIPLE TIMES (me and Divinity)

4. Pissing off cashiers by causing a big deal for absolutely no reason (Divinity)

and it goes on and on...

Also we went to this Christian convention thing where a bunch of churches meet up at this place and do all these spiritual activities. The spiritual part was pretty boring except for one priest who was actually born and raised in America and didn't come straight from Egypt and he was funny as hell :D and we both met a TON of people there. Yes that includes some hot chicks. Speaking of hot chicks I met one of the prettiest girls I have ever met in real life....personally...upclose. And right when I came home I managed to find her on MSN and despite barely knowing each other we talked over MSN for 5 FREAKING HOURS STRAIGHT! Why MSN? She lives in f***ing Manitoba, Canada and I live in Washington State...24 hours away driving. So phone isn't really an option..But what really sucks is that I gotta wait for a whole damn year to see her again and all my other friends that I met there. And so far with this girl...we have a ton of stuff in common with, same TV shows, movies, actors, hobbies (yes she even likes to play video games on an ocassion :D) and music. So all I can say is HELL YEA :)!!!!!!!! But after that convention life just went back to being super boring. And now that I'm about to turn 16 in a few months and well get my license shortly after my dad and I are looking for a good car. So far the best one I found was a 2007 Chrysler Sebring for $9800! The one good thing about this economy...American cars are dirt cheap now.

Anyways after my crazy two weeks with Divinity and the convention I haven't been really able to sit down for a long period of time and play video games for some reason. I don't really know why but I just lost that urge to sit down and play but I will go on occassionally just to play a little Battlefield or Batman Arkham Assylum demo (KICKS SERIOUS ASS BY THE WAY! Download NOW!!)

Yea I suck at naming my blogs :P. Anyways I got back from Penticton about a few days ago and I had a great time. But the girl I liked didn't go so I was a bit disappointed. But thankfully I was able to keep that from ruining my experience there (or what would have been a great opportnity to get to know her better). So I'm not even gonna try to explain what I felt. Just go look up the lyrics to Killswitch Engage - The End of Heartache and because I was able to relate to the lyrics it ended up becoming one of my personal favorite songs :). Anyways I beat Killzone 2 about a few days after getting it and all I can say is...pure awesomeness. The story is interesting but I didn't really pay much attention to it, but the campaign is so damn intense. Like I said the enemies are brilliant and you will probably be in a near death situation every 5 min lol. But what kinda disappointed me is that this would have been an amazing co op experience since you're almost never by yourself for more than 5-10 min. The multpilayer is also intense and fun but not really I don't know...doesn't offer that crazy fun feeling that Resistance 2 offers. But it really is a great game and if you don't have it I suggest you get it (if you have a PS3). I'm also thinking of selling my PSP but none of my friends have one and I just realized about MGS: Peace Walker (Hideo Kojima said that this is MGS5 to him) and Resistance: Retribution. I'm a huge Resistance fan and I can't afford to miss out on this game. Also I just got an Ipod Touch and it was worth every penny that I spent on it, that is all I can say. From the amazing sound quality to the random free apps you can download. Also Michael Jackson died! And if you don't know that by now chances are you live in a cave. I gotta say I feel sorry for him. And I just started listening to his music and its actually pretty decent. And the King of Advertisement...Billy Mays died. He went from awesome then he disappeared for a few years and then he became a pain in the ass. And now I don't think I'll be seeing anymore from him. One of my friends thinks he overdosed on Oxyclean lol. I'm planning to get an RPG or a game that has some RPG elements in it. So here are some I'm planning on getting or actually just a list I'll have you guys decide from.

Well so far my summer is kinda boring but in a few weeks I'm going to this place in Canada called Penticton, I actually went there 2 years ago and I loved it so I'm really looking forward to going there this year. Its me and my family along with a bunch of other families that we are friends with so I know its gonna be a ton of fun. The girl I liked was gonna go but since her family was affected by the recession in Canada (the US isn't the only one with the crappy economy) she can't go. And I just realized that in 3 days it will be my two year aniversary with GS...I'll post a blog just for that I guess. So right now I'm just playing Killzone 2, Resistance 2 and MGS4 and I'm taking drivers ed. I seriously love driving :D :D! Can't wait for next summer since I'll have my license and then I will never be home. The song is The End of Heartache by Killswitch Engage. This would probably be my favorite band if they had more songs like this and Arms of Sorrow. If you don't know what that means I mean not songs that are 100% screamo. For me it just ruins the lyrics and the lyrics I think are pretty good. But screamo does sound cool. Anyways after seeing one of my friends Ipod Touch and actually using it I have decided I am gonna save some cash and buy me one of those and get 3 seasons of family guy along with it :D. Sure Family Guy can be really stupid sometimes but damn it I feel like I'm 10 years old when I watch it and it is funny as hell sometimes. Also one of my favorite new shows is That '70s Show. I never thought I would ever like it but I freaking love it! The dude who plays Eddie Brock in Spiderman 3 is in it but he is way better in That '70s show than in Spiderman 3. Oh and Transformers 2 came out and according to IGN that it sucks in terms of storyline and characters but awesome in action. And there is alot of crude humor in there and in the this movie Megan Fox wears "skanky, porn star like clothes" (not a direct quote from IGN) but I guess that's not always a bad thing :P well its not bad as long as you don't bring your parents or a younger sibling to see it. And I'm sure after reading the "Roman's Girls" blog Roman woud definitely love this :D. Along with pretty much every single teenage boy in America or around the world. Anyways I am definitely gonna try and see it with a friend. I didn't like this one but...Robots kicking each others asses...Megan Fox dressed up as a slut...enough said my friends. Yea I just bought the game yesterday and it is amazing! I personally think its a bit better than Resistance 2 (still a huge Resistance fan). The single player is extremely intense and soo much fun. The multiplayer is awesome too but I have to get up a few more ranks till I can start using badges which lets me be different classes. One thing I really don't like about the multiplayer is that there are so many damn guys with rocket launchers!! But that's about it lol. Ed and I played some online today and got our asses kicked together :D and we kicked some too but mostly got owned lol. Roman you have to get this game!! Another thing that makes this game so damn good is how realistic it is sure its on a different planet but when you move you get this feeling of being heavy and I think that's pretty awesome. The enemy AI is fierce and brilliant! The BEST enemy AI. And your allies are pretty smart but not to the point where their taking out all your guys and not so stupid where their always dying and kill one or two guys like in Resistance 2. And the cover system is surprisingly really good. I look forward to beating the game and writing a review on it. So expect one in a day or two!!
