Metroid Dread stole the show this year for me. It's been a very long time since an E3 announcement was this exciting/surprising. I fully expect it will be the best game of the year in my eyes.

Elden Ring had a really good trailer if you want to count that as a part of the E3 group of announcements.

1) Metroid Dread: This is one of the biggest reveals at E3 in many years. I am extremely excited for this one.

2) Elden Ring: I like souls games and this was a particularly good trailer.

3) Breath of the Wild 2: This is more excitement based on how ground breakingly phenomenal the first game was than what the trailer showed itself.

I play and compete in SFV at relatively high level. It's died down a bit because of the pandemic preventing our local events, but I used to place consistently in top 3 where I'm from. I also travelled to Chicago for Combo Breaker a few times and played against some of the best players in the world. That's where you realize you have a LOOOONG way to go still which is a good thing. That means there's still lots to learn and improve on.

I just picked up Strive as my first Anime fighter. It's kind of refreshing starting from square 1.

It looks to have about the same quality too.

If Yoshio Sakamoto's and Mercury Steam's previous Metroid game is any indication, Dread is going to be absolutely phenomenal. You can't bring my hype down.

It was a really big dud until the Nintendo direct dropped the Metroid Dread bomb shell.

That has to be the biggest E3 announcement since Shenmue 3.

It's the first time I felt the thrill of the E3 hype in such a long time.

I have my eye on this one. I'm big on quality animation, and this one has that.

Yeah I'm not sure nintendo should be charging full price for some of these games considering the amount of money that went into them.

Having said that, I'll still be buying Metroid Dread day one because it will likely be the best game to release all year on any platform if Yoshio Sakamoto and Mercury Steam's previous Metroid is anything to go by.

I pre-ordered Metroid Dread immediately. I adore Metroid and Samus Returns was one of the best games ever made in my eyes.

Dread was also probably the biggest, most surprising E3 reveal since Shenmue 3. It's been a while since we've had something this exciting show up.

Story in a fighting game is completely irrelevant to me

@hardwenzen: Did you just call the first main line entry in the Metroid series in 19 years, not a real Metroid?
