Maybe because this article isn't about SCE, rather Sony as a whole???
You're not making any point here. Facts are that Sony need profits and to do that they're going to have to shrink in size and the amount of things they produce.
So explain why you were comparing Vita's worldwide sales (3 million) to the 3DS's Japan-only sales (what you mistakingly thought was 8 million when it's now 10 million) ?
I don't see why you're bringing up the DS and PSP here when their current successors aren't doing nearly as well.
Soul Sacfrifice is a completely new IP, it can't be called a killer app until it releases and sells well. I do believe that it's the only game that can save the Vita in Japan though. The Vita is pretty much dead in the rest of the world.
If you're not worried then I do believe you're not understanding how bad the situation for the Vita actually is.
10 million people have a 3DS in Japan compared to only 1 million Vitas. You think loyal Monster Hunter fans are going to just drop the series and shell out the money for a Vita and Soul Sacrifice? SS is more niche anyway due to the gruesome dark nature of the game.
