Okay yeah, that was a stupid mispeaking on my part. But isn't the statute of limitations only applied before a defendent is charged? Polanski fled after the charges were brought up against him.
Besides, I don't think most states have a time limit for his felonies anyways.
Correct. Once one has been convicted statutes of limitation no longer matter.....and Polanski had a conviction and was awaiting sentencing. I'm curious, does statute of limitations apply if you are a fugitive?
