Edit: I'm personally surprised by the amount of normal good looking people on here. Just not what I expected from a video game website forum I guess...
I have a lot of real friends though most of them are inanimate and stuffed with fluff. We have lots of tea parties.
Seriously though, i gave up pretty much all my friends when I walked away from Christianity. I keep in touch with a few people still but it is difficult when their whole lives revolve around something i no longer believe in.
I don't think anyone is against peace in the middle east. Certainly, no one in this thread is hoping for more problems between the western world and the Muslim world, however giving a bunch of engineers that is NASA the responsibility to reach out to the Muslim world in hopes of better relations seems to be far fetched at best. I don't see how better equipping a Muslim world that hates us with more modern knowledge about rocket science going to fix a lot of the problems we already have with many of these countries. Their beef against us has nothing to do with us withholding information from them and everything to do with the fact that the western lifestyle and America's foreign policy offends them.
The purpose of Nasa was and should be engineering and designing the latest technology to make space travel a more realistic dream for the future. Not teaching other nations how to do what we do so they can feel good about themselves
[QUOTE="zidan4000"][QUOTE="Franklinstein"]Space is kind of a waste of money, bridging the tension between the muslim world and America could be much more beneficial... mattbbpl
since you brung it up , space IS the waste of money , at this point exploring more space doesnt benefit the human kind in any way , and in such a bad economy they could use that money to do better things than searching for alien lives that doesn't exist. You have to make an initial investment for later payoff. The space program has some far-reaching goals that could have enormous payoffs in the future like colonization and mining. yea, tell Isaac Clarke that colonization and mining paid off....
So basically we have an organization filled with rocket-science geniuses, who have spent years studying physics and other applicable sciences, whose job is now to reach out to the muslim world? Are we going to have our sociologists start building rocket ships now?
I would honestly wonder if there are some other emotional issues going on underneath the surface that maybe expressing themselves in this lack of sex drive. I mean i would think it is normal to have fluxuations in sex drive, but to straight up lose interest for an extended period is not normal I don't think.
