i personally use a microsoft razer habu or a deathadder. I prefer the habu though because of the larger size, fits my hand better than razers

are there any good recent games that take advantage of dual monitors?

The most recent one I've played is supreme commander and it's sequel. are there any others?

^ yeah, I use the single fan that came with the cooler. No need for two I don't think. I had to remove my motherboard but as long as you are careful it's easy to do

I have almost the exact same rig, but use an 850w antec PSU. I'd consider upgrading the PSU to 750w so you can upgrade to SLI 460's in the future. also you might want to tell him to overclock the i7 930, i got big gains doing mine with the 212 cooler and it makes a nice difference in game :) that rig is perfect for what he wants btw

I have the hyper 212 as well and the temps dropped by 30 degrees under load after overclocking compared to the stock cooler at stock speeds... it's a damn good cooler.

ah yeah you may find an improvement buying a new case then, you could always measure yours and then check it against the dimensions of the one you plan to buy. that will give you a good indication of improvement.

I had the same problem a couple of years back when I replaced my PSU and GPU in a shop bought HP, and I bought a new case and never looked back. More room will also improve the cooling

yeah that's the card, I can't speak for PNY personally as I've never had one of their versions but I have the Palit and it runs everything incredibly. No problems (especially if she is to use a 19" monitor) as for scaling down to save money, 4gb of ram is plenty, unless she's overly worried about waiting for videos to export. WoW won't utilise 6 cores so it won't make a massive difference downgrading to a quad.

yeah try clearing the dust, and if that doesn't help it have a look at aftermarket coolers
