There are really only 3 good maps.

Island outpost and archipelago aren't fun.

It is starting to lack a lot of what it was originally intended to be. That is "sneaking". I find it funny how now you can "side" with one of the two armies and just "kill" the other army. I mean, wouldn't that "contradict" the whole theme of what the series is being about?

Ether way, kojima is now setting his ideas more of what the story and gameplay is, but lost his main philosophy of what main series is about ~ "sneaking".

ShawDowFX

you've got it wrong.

You can side with one enemy during a battle sequence, shoot them both, or you can choose to sneak past both of them. This is essentially the same dynamic as before, just more complex. Shoot it out or sneak, its still entirely your choice. More significantly the side choosing is clearly part of the political message in the story.

The final comments of their review stated that the game is not worth $40 dollars. Go here

And they are trying to be polite by saying its not quite worth the money. They put it as the final sentence for emphasis this game feels shallow.

After rumors of 20 dollars for the game people rightly should feel ripped off paying 40 for this game. Having played the beta (which was the full version) with 4 modes and 5 maps its not worth $40 off the PSN. Again I would say this shallow cartoony war game might be worth 30 at most.

It has 5 maps the developers very generously call "worlds" as a PR decision to make it sound massive and cool.

There are about 5 map configurations for each map. Therefore there are still only 5 maps, they just have different configurations to make them smaller by restricting certain areas. you can still travel to them but you can't pick up icons or land a warhawk in them. It doesn't change the looks or anything.

Map configurations are nothing new in multiplayer games, therefore it does not have 25 maps. It has 25 map configurations for 5 maps. Get it right.

As for these "worlds"....they aren't diverse or large or interesting enough to be considered worlds. They are 5 maps with multiple smaller configuration options. end the debate.

It disconnects my opponent 90% of the time, and the stuttering makes it look downright ugly. Good thing Im only renting. Damn.

I have madden 08 and I have played it for a little over a day. Farris214 is my screen name add me if you do not beleive me you will see me playing it. I can say that even at 30fps madden 08 on ps3 is quite fun and I enjoy it and madden is the one game I must own every year. Everyone is making too big a deal and if you are not going to buy a game just for the frame rate then too bad for you. Everyone else who buys it will enjoy it. Buy it and enjoy or else just be quiet and move on to something else.mfarris2006

Its not released until the 14th. Today is the 11th.

Wait till Madden 09 then.

Madden changes so little from year to year its not worth getting excited about.

Taijiquan

Or grab the 360 version.

Changes this year for Madden is HUGE. For people that love football, Madden 08 being one of the best Maddens ever if not the bestMadden ever it is hard for football fansnot to get excited.

Well I know where you're coming from.

I think the Madden games create fans. I know I didn't get into football hardcore till Madden 04 (Aug. 2003) so I understand what you're saying about the connection between the two. I'm a diehard Bears fan, and been one since that time, but as a videogame I see the many flaws Madden has.

There are some little tackle animations and juke animations inserted, but lets be honest, 60fps or 30fps, this is still another madden game. Still a long way away from looking like actual football.
