It seems like since 7th gen the console manufacturers haven't had very impressive launches. Like usual I'll probably be playing my older systems until about 2022-23 when that must own game comes out.
Also, how about not skipping Twisted Metal this gen Sony? That would have been a day one purchase for me if it looked good.
Seems like a horrible value at this point in the console's life. Isn't the PS5 supposed to run this with faster loading times in about 6 months from now for probably about $150 more? If you didn't care about the PS4 by now you might as well wait.
@zmanbarzel: Do you honestly think the very first THPS game had a huge budget? It's not like Suicidal Tendencies became as huge as Led Zeppelin in the past 20 years. Again, I promise you, adding the few songs that are missing or at least adding alternatives is NOT going to break their budget and make this game cost twice as much. They are cutting corners.
Burnout Paradise, a remaster plus DLC that cost $40, contained it's original 80 song soundtrack with bigger bands like Guns N Roses, Alice in Chains, Jane's Addiction, Faith No More, etc etc. There's no excuse.
@zmanbarzel: Dude look how many licensed songs games like GTA5, Rock Band 4, and Rocksmith 2014 have. Including Cyco Vision and a few other songs isn't going to be the difference between a $60 and $120 game.
Booooooooo! Is there any reason there's no Cyco Vision by Suicidal Tendencies? That band is still around and I don't think Mike Muir is stingy about licensing his songs. The soundtrack seems especially small when you consider it's combining two games.
Spotify might be an alternative but it's just not the same. I felt like I knew how much time was left based on where I was in the songs.
@deviltaz35: Maybe but they'll have a lot more songs than the awful HD version that came out a few years ago. They seem to have confused the 80's with the 90's but if we get a great THPS for PS4 I'm all for it! I'm hoping this opens the door for new games.
@Pyrosa: The apocalypse has arrived if people aren't complaining about the monthly games.
To be fair though Skylines and Farm Simulator seem kind of similar, at least genre wise. Kind of odd to have both of these the same month. Something like Celeste or Towerfall might have been a better pick for one of the games.
