I've been holding out for as long as possible for a GOTY edition with all content addons in one box. Tomorrow Tiny Tina's assault on Dragon Keep adon pack is coming out apparently. I do not know what the cost of it is going to be though. If I'd buy everything now, I'd have to pay 30 euros for the vanilla game, 30 for season pass, 10 for psycho pack and 5 for ultimate vault hunter upgrade. 75 euros without tiny tina (wich should come out tomorrow) and depending on the price it can be anywhere from 85 to 90 euros.

I have a feeling there may be an october GOTY release, just buy everything for 50. Am I the only one that is still holding out?

Any Europeans in this forum gonna watch this?

My vote goes for Turkey. As Netherlands has been underperforming for quite a while now, not sure if they will recover again.

Is it normal? No definitely not. I can understand if it was just 1 8800GTS 512mb. But my bro's PC had the same card. Died a few months ago too. Seems very sucpicious tbh, not normal at all. But whatever, it was one of my strongest GFX card coming on second place to the Radeon 9800pro I used to play with Half-Life 2 :D

Btw I ran 3DMark 2011. Got 3712 points, seems solid yes? Looks like a good buy to me. Hopefully it won't die on me too soon hehe.

Your power supply is fine, just like my HX620 the HX520 has 2 PCI-E power connectors. Simply plug them both into your new 6870. Since you weren't using the second power connector, it's probably still in the box or somewhere.

I was just getting misinformed by the instruction manual. They're trying to sell me a ''high power'' gaming Power Supply.

Gonna test some bench marks on it :D Thnx for reply!

Recently I ordered XFX HD6870 after my 8800GTS 512mb died. I have a Corsair HX520W. I didn't expect installation to be so different. Apparently I have install with 2 power connectors unlike the only 1 for my 8800GTS.

I compared power consumption of both cards on the internet. 8800 is approximately 151 idle and 249 3D. The HD 6870 107 idle and 274 3D. I figured thats a small difference and my PSU is good quality. But I have no idea how to install 2 power connectors. I don't think I even have those. 8800GTS was installed much differently and thats how I always installed my gfx cards.

Any help here is greatly apreciated.

Edit: I can take some pictures if necessary

I decided to order AMD's ATI Radeon HD 6870 from XFX. Found one for 140 euros. Seemed like a very solid price. Hopefully I won't be dissapointed.

Are you sure it's dead? What's wrong with it? If it's a temperature related problem, they can sometimes be brought back to life be simply reapplying the thermal paste.CuRle_

Green and white stuff on the screen. Also like 10 second delays for something happening on screen.

Yeah I heard that before, baking it in the oven or even reaplying thermal paste seems a hassle for me. I just wouldn't know how tbh. I'm not that technical.

Was a good card while it lasted though.

AMD's Radeon HD6870 how does this card compare to GTX460? Its 10 euros cheaper at 140euros for me.

My power supply is Corsair 520HX. Its a good quality PSU but I'm not sure how much more these card consume wattage compared to the 8800GTS.

I was waiting for it because same happend to another computer in the house with the same 8800GTS. I replaced that one with a AMD5750. Now my 8800GTS 512mb died also.

I am looking into buying a new graphics card, but my computer is a little outdated for me to buy high end video card.

My specs:

Intel Quad Core 6600 2,4Ghz (Can clock to 3Ghz)

Corsair 4GB DDR2 800mhz (3GB active)

Asus P5B motherboard

Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit

My budget for new gfx card is around 100 to 150 euros. What would you guys recommend? Go for same perfomance or buy a better one? I'm not sure if there will be any bottleneck.

Damn I'm so happy I could get this fixed so soon. Thanks to the windows 7 backup feature. Even though I have automatic backup disabled the feature still supports basic backup like removing updates moving the computer to a previous state.

Only thing now is, internet download manager seems to be removed. Oh Bill Gates, you're a mysterious one. oh wait, **** hes retired :P
