Red Steel is a 1 million seller. A low budget trash game sold well enough for them to develop a sequel. Ubisoft is not to be blame for your own failures.

Actually, I rented Red Steel and was able to see how much it sucked so I wasn't victimized. I see if 1 million out of 30 million people buy a game then it's justification that the game should suck in the first place. Nice logic. BTW Splinter Cell was on the GC and received a 8.4 score. Double Agent was released across multiple platforms and scored similarly, but on the Wii it gets a 6.2 because Ubi puts out half-assed games for the Wii.

So you do expect special treatment? Nintendo is to be blame for their decision to go with outdated hardware. The Wii has a much different architecture compared to the higher tech systems. Why scapegoat Ubisoft for it? What exactly are you trying to achieve?

[QUOTE="air_wolf_cubed"]How many of those are on the Wii?air_wolf_cubed

What? You don't have a gaming PC... or a 360 or PS3?

Thats not an argument to hate Ubisoft. Most of those games cannot be developed on the Wii. Or do you expect ''special treatment'' just because Nintendo chose to go with a low tech console? Blame nintendo.

You are addressing "Sheep" not "Manticores"

Oh excuse me, I wasn't aware such fundamentalist/extremistic Nintendo gamers actually existed. Oh wait, there is a term for that... a fanboy.

Isn't sheep a term used in SW to identify the gamers among us?

[QUOTE="kingjazziephiz"]i thought they where only talking about the half assed games they are making on the on wii..Bigboi500
They were, tc is just in denial. Lots of third party devs making good games on Wii, and Ubicrap isn't one of 'em.

Defending the Wii's third party support is like trying to defend a murderer when the prosecution has his DNA, multiple eyewitnesses, video, the suspect's diary and a jury comprised of his victims' relatives.

I've been seeing some harsh hate against Ubisoft by sheep lately.

In that case, you might as well hate the whole industry for your lack of third party support. But for some reason you sheep seem to be scapegoating Ubisoft?

Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway

Far Cry 2

EndWar

H.A.W.X

Prince of Persia

Beyond Good & Evil 2

Splinter Cell: Conviction

Just a few examples upcoming games for 2008.

More succesfull franchises such as Ghost Recon, RainbowSix and Myst.

What exactly are you trying to achieve by scapegoating Ubisoft?

Half-Life isn't mainstream, there is absolutely no way it will possibly ''ruin'' the playstation brand. The game would probably slip trough unnoticed.

But I assume you allready knew that. You just started this thread for lulz :P

They would follow Rare's footsteps probably. They won't change drasticly, just a little different I guess. I personally can still recognise talent in Rare's games.

If they'd go third party. I'm pretty sure they will end up like Sega. They will most likely fire alot of employees to economize on their financial well-being... for whatever reason they went third-party.

I don't remember exactly how Sonic lost its appeal again, but Nintendo would be no different. Or maybe I am under estimating their talent? We would never know though, this is all speculation :P

Nah. I hope not. It will kinda ruin the experience. I still have the movie stamped in my memory as one of the most crazy action films ever.

Film to game adaptions and vice versa... they simply don't seem to work that well. There are minor exceptions though (Chronicles of Riddick)

I'm excited for it because it looks fun. No matter how generic you call it it still looks like a breath of fresh air, the only game I consider this gen to be a fun FPs is Halo 3, no reliance on stupid cover, no trying to be overly realistic. This takes it even more old school though, getting up close and personal, good old run n' gun shooting, tha Wii is perfect for that. I actually think bland war shooters with over-reliance on trying to be realistic are actually the new generic. If I'm fighting aliens with a health bar that rehcarges itself please explain why you feel it neccessary to try to make the game more realistic...bobbetybob

Did it ever occur to you that some people have a different taste? I for one enjoy strategic shooters more. Rainbow Six and SWAT franchises. I'm probably the minority, but I really enjoy strategy shooters. Its my favourite genre actually.

I'm still slightly disappointed with R6 Vegas though, and how the whole industry has turned so console centric. My favourite genre seems dying.
