Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam DLC
by QuiCkz_Alex on Comments
Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is keeping things historically accurate with its Vietnam map pack, confusing the public about its true origins while promising everything will turn out all right in the end. But today we have official confirmation Vietnam will launch as DLC only and will include four new multiplayer maps, 15 new weapons and six vehicles.
The DLC will also feature an era-relevant soundtrack and add 10 new achievements and trophies.

BFBC2's Vietnam DLC is scheduled to drop this winter for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, if we are to believe The Man.
Call of Duty: Black Ops is out in November and takes place in the same historical setting – do you think its release will affect Vietnam sales? If you're picking up both titles, don't you think we owe it to Vietnam to leave them the Hell alone already? Say it in the comments!

More DLC Announced for Mafia II
by QuiCkz_Alex on Comments
2K Games has announced another DLC pack for it's period-piece crime taleMafia II.
Joe's Adventure, as the pack is called, is on its way for release "later this year."
The new missions take place while Vito is "busy" during the main storyline. I won't spoil when that is, but basically the two pieces tie together nicely. The pack "allows players to explore new locations, including a train station, the cathouse, a boat yard, a seasonally changing lakefront and some never-before-seen buildings in Empire Bay."
The DLC also provides "optional city-based quests packed with arcade action gameplay and a points-based system that allows players to move up the ranks on the online leaderboard through combos and multiplier bonuses. Deadly executions by head shot or charged explosives rack up points, and precision-timed vehicular power slides, [and] lofty jumps and feats of supercharged speed."
Medal of Honor - Tier 1 Day 1
by QuiCkz_Alex on Comments
Operating directly under the National Command Authority, a relatively unknown entity of handpicked warriors are called on when the mission must not fail. They are the Tier 1 Operators.

FIFA 11 Penalty Kick Taking Basics Tutorial Trailer
by QuiCkz_Alex on Comments
FIFA 11 is taking the same penalty taking system and refining it a bit, as this new tutorial video covering the basics of booting one into the onion bag from the spot shows. Just as before, you'll need to stop the composure needle in the green area of the bar and hold the shoot button to get the right amount of power.
Kick with too much power, and you'll boot it wide, whereas too little power will result in an embarassing pea-roller. You also have to guide an invisible reticle with the left analog stick, which is a bit of an art in itself. Fail to direct your shot at enough of an angle, and the keeper can easily scoop it up. Direct your shot at too severe an angle and it'll go wide. Alternatively, you can hold RB for a sweet little finesse shot. Cheeky.
Sound complicated? It's not too difficult. Take a look at the Penalty Taking Basics Tutorial video to get a head start for when FIFA 11 ships on October 1st, 2010 in Europe, September 28th, 2010 in North America.

EA: Medal Of Honor Must Sell 3 Million Copies For Sequel
by QuiCkz_Alex on Comments
Medal of Honor is going up against Activision's Call of Duty: Black Ops this holiday season, but EA have still stated that if the title doesn't sell more than 3 million copies, it won't be getting a sequel.
Speaking to the New York Times, Greg Goodrich, the executive producer on Medal of Honor said that if the milestone wasn't met, "I'm not going to be able to do another one."
Medal of Honor is due for release in Europe on the 15th of October on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
