that starfox? screen looks horrible..and rare sucks thats why nintendo probably let them go.campzor

It may be crappy now, but not compared to this 2008 Wii game, which is typical of third party Wii games.

[QUOTE="AncientDozer"]I have a better question. Why do we need another thread? Every week we get one or two of these. It's getting tiresome to hear the same whiny arguments by people who, optimistically, have a 50% chance of actually owning a product rather than just pretending to give more weight to their moaning. I was ready to explain why it is some of us don't care but then it occurred to me. None of the people who don't like paying for Xbox Live want a reason. They don't care beyond griping and fussing. Beyond criticizing Microsoft. They aren't really looking for any kind of justification. No one ever does. It's just a means to slander. Listen to the arguments and then discard them.CBCstillmatic

I hate how typical people who say "we don't need another thread" or "we don't need to hear.." when they can simply ignore the thread instead of complaining about what I make my threads about. There are several other threads you could have clicked, but you chose this one.

Sort of like those who don't want to pay for LIVE can simply just ignore it? When you simply could have ignored the 360 instead of purchasing it anyway then complaining about paying for LIVE? There are plenty of PS3's in stock you could have purchased, but you chose the 360.

Look, the time I got the 360 was a time it had titles that interested me more than the games on the PS3. Also the PS3 was too pricey for a game console, so I wasn't gonna get that. So I got myself a 360 arcade, and then got the harddrive once I decided to really invest in it, and buy stuff off the marketplace. So no I could not have just gotten the PS3 instead, I felt the systems were similar enough, but the 360 was cheaper. Made more sense to me.

ITT: Gameplay means nothing. Graphics mean everything. And a game w/out a story is a game of little interest.

sandbox3d

false. Gameplay is what is most important. Graphics and Story matter very little.

I know... my god, trust me I KNOW!

I was just summing up the OP.

I don't understand, are you summing up what I said? That's not what I said at all.

ITT = "I think that"?

The games for the Wii have been very underwhelming for me compared to the high quality titles I've played on the 360. I really liked Nintendo when they didn't forget to upgrade their console's hardware to provide for technically advanced games. I'd say the most advanced game on the Wii is probably RE4 or Mario Galaxy 2 I guess.. but Mario games don't do it for me as they have no story. I believe Nintendo really needed Rare this gen since Rare can produce high quality games that suit me.

I mean look at this game from 2002.

That game looks better than half of the Nintendo Wii games, and it was made by Rare. Rare has always been able to produce the most technically advanced games until they went into their decline.

I recently played the Dead Space 2 demo, and I really liked it's atmosphere, and it's actually the first game to ever make me feel worried of death. The game looks well made, and it also reminded me of Metroid. So after I beat the DS2 demo I went to play Metroid Prime 3 to see if I can get into it's atmosphere and story, but I soon became bored of it and it's repetative music, and boring combat. I can shoot the enemies but the way they die is so boring, they even glow RED when you hit them! How cheap is that? Also if you touch them by bumping into them you get hurt. Isn't that a little too archaic? Dead Space is definately a better scifi shooter/explorer than Metroid in my eyes, and no Nintendo Wii game can make me feel immersed in it's story like 360 games do.

The Wii failed me, and I think the Gamecube was a better console for it's time.

Neither to be honest.

If you haven't played Fable I, I'd get that.

Call of Duty - Great games, great stories, great online community, great everything. Should definitely be more popular.

DerpyMcDerp

Call of Duty has been garbage since COD 4
