Did not expect that. I would have thought for sure that something like Chroma would have been top, or Rhino or Frost.

I main Nova, Mesa, Ash, and Harrow. None made the list. Lol

@mogan: I actually enjoyed some of the campaigns from the older games. BF3 and 4 had some interesting campaigns, and Bad Company was always funny and fun.

Of course, they should put the majority of their efforts into the multiplayer, as that is what makes the game stand out. And when you botch the multiplayer, like in 2042.....well, you see what happens.

@Barighm: Indeed. Lies of P looks to be great. Thymesia hasn't been terrible, just short compared to Souls games. But it also wasn't full price, so that was to be expected.

Steel Rising had me cautiously optimistic, but it looks at though it may be a bit of a let down. Ill just see how the community rates it after release, because it does look fun.

They seem to have an issue differenciating between "cancelled" and being "finalized."

Things like Flash, Stranger Things, Riverdale, etc. Those aren't being "cancelled." They are being wrapped up and finishing their stories, and ending the series with a finale, because the show has run its course and has finished its story.

Can't expect every show to run 15+ seasons. I actually wish more shows WOULD end after about 3-4 seasons. Usually after that, they start to get a bit stale and lose their luster and they try to scramble for more material.

But with so many shows out in this day and age, I just wait to see which ones get a proper ending, and which ones get cancelled on cliffhangers. Sure, I am years behind the "modern" shows, but at least I don't get screwed on watching shows that never get a proper ending anymore! :)

Im not sure how they describe this as a "toned down" version of the original series. I have seen gameplay, and the action looks just as crazy and over the top as all the other games in the series.

Maybe the only thing they toned down was the comedy, and slapped political correctness and being "woke" on top of it all. A gangster game that is woke and PC.......

Very excited for this game. Arkane definitely makes very interesting worlds, and introducing this kind of Borderlands'esque game allowing co-op with vampires is really cool. They always make worlds that feel like you can approach areas from so many different angles and options, so you never feel like you have to use the same route every time.

@Pyrosa: I agree. Gears does an excellent job at Battle Pass and cosmetics being rewarded just for playing the game. And Horde has been an amazing staple since they introduced it in the GoW franchise, and it gets me hooked every single time. I only wish every action game like that had a Horde mode. Even D4 would benefit from an endless wave type mode. Would be very fun.

And yes, any big IP nowadays usually has microtransactions, lets be real, its embedded itself into the gaming industry, and its not going away anytime soon. All you can hope for is that the transactions themselves don't directly effect gameplay in a P2W fashion. Cosmetics are totally optional, and can be completely ignored by players who don't care to spend any money. Having them in game does not cause any detriment to players who don't care to spend money. Look at Path of Exile. That game has massive amounts of cosmetic micros, yet people still LOVE the game because the game itself is awesome. If you don't want the cosmetics, it does absolutely nothing to negatively impact you.

Sound a lot like the Destiny 2, or Gears of War, Path of Exile models in a sense. Basic Battle pass, with paid extra battle pass cosmetic items geared towards the theme of the season. No pay to win options in the battlepass, just boosts and cosmetics, emotes, weapon skins, etc. And the shop sounds the same. Items that catch your fancy that you can buy with either real money or in game currency, but are purely cosmetic.

I am fine with that. There is nothing that requires you to pay money. There might just be some cool cosmetics one season that you really like so you can spend currency on them that you earned from previous gameplay. Plus you can transmog all the gear you find in game that matches your character, the same as with Diablo 3.

Seems fine with me. No P2W is really all that matters. Plus them adding more to the story each season is also a nice touch, with themes to each season. Its like how D3 does it, but also adding story to it, much like how Destiny 2 always continues the story with each season.

This was a nice update to clarify that this game was not going to be ANYTHING like the garbage, insanely heavy P2W microtransactions that Immortal is. I am sure everything is being taken with a grain of salt, though. D3 was a mess at launch and it took them years to get it into an actually very fun game. Most people had set their minds on the game being trash, so they never tried it again. But they did make the game enjoyable eventually. As long as they don't make the same mistakes they did with the D3 launch, this game looks to be enjoyable. I gameplay I have seen looks a bit like Lost Ark, which is not much of a bad thing.

But in the end, its gonna be how you feel about the IP. Those who were turned off by it in D3, and even moreso with Immortal(which Immortal deserves to be considered a crime), they are not going to be happy with anything D4 has to offer. THose who enjoy D2 and D3 will most likely find these quarterly updates to unveil information that makes them feel better about the game development. Play it or don't, you always have the power of choice.

But look at the success of Path of Exile. HUGE amounts of in game shop microtransactions revolving around cosmetics. Literally hundreds and hundreds of cosmetic items that do NOTHING to impact the game, other than for players to spice up their characters if they wish to spend money. But those who don't spend money will literally not have any negative impact on their character, gameplay, progression, or fun. When it comes to this kind of cosmetic system, everyone is entitled to make their own choices about how they spend THEIR OWN MONEY, and has zero impact on how YOU want to spend YOUR MONEY. Stop tryin to guilt people into spending their money on a cosmetic they enjoy. Their money, their choice. It really IS that simple.

Most of these are pretty spot on. Although Deathloop was an interesting concept, it was quite repetitive by the end.

Titanfall campaigns are phenomenal, especially Titanfall 2. They may be relatively short and not much room for exploring, but the story, gunplay, and characters are just great. Plus the timehopping mission was just a blast.

FEAR was also an amazing game. I wish they would reboot that serious, but take it back to the horror of the first game, and not the action packed co-op shooter of the 3rd game. The first game was just so creepy, and the story was very interesting, and even creppier how so many curiosities there were in what was happening in the story and what was happening around you.
