I absolutely loved this show up until about halfway through. Binged watched the hell out of it. Then the interest slowly faded, and now I haven't even seen the last 2 or 3 seasons over the years. Kinda just lost its drive, IMO.
EA Access gives you EArly Access. See what I did there? No chart needed.
Any EA subscription gets an early release. Incredibly stupid, I know. You would think preorders or deluxe editions would be treated the same as a subscription, but whatever. Just EA being EA and trying to get you to use their subscriptions.
"Epic's generous revenue terms are a game changer that will allow publishers to invest more into content creation, or pass on savings to the players,"
That only works if the dev's use the money in a way that benefits their consumers. Not use the money for fat bonus checks within the company.
Not to mention it sounds like Epic is going to allow dev's to block or censor reviews of their games on the Epic Launcher. Which doesn't sound good.(Just from a post I saw from Tim Sweeney on twitter)
I dunno. It will be interesting to see how this all pans out. Maybe it will turn out better than people expect. Maybe worse. We will see. But seems to me that if you go exclusively to Epic, you might get more money per sale, but you are probably going to lose out on overall sales for the platform.
If this is anything like Blood Dragon, I am down. Didn't take itself too seriously, just whacky and fun.
My big concern with this game is everything looks like it was coated in neon spray paint. I feel like I am going to a rave, not a post-apocalyptic world.
@Barighm: I think that is mainly because Mr X was a bit overused in his role in RE2 Remake. He was much more prevalent that he was in the original, and much more obnoxious. However, if they stuck true to RE3, Nemesis was entirely avoidable, and usually limited to a very finite area. Not to mention you had a choice to fight or run with Nemesis, and if you dished out enough damage, you got him off your back for a while.
Mr X was obnoxious because he was essentially unstoppable and no amount of ammo got rid of him.
But who knows. RE7 had the annoying cat and mouse mechanics and that was successful. The key is balance, something they kind of annoyed players with when it came to Mr X. Doesn't mean they can't learn from it and make Nemesis more balanced and enjoyable. RE3 was personally one of my favorites. I have faith.
And yeah, I think Dino Crisis could be AWESOME if done right. That was a great game.
@Acheron18: Agreed. Steam is far from perfect, but I trust them much more than Epic. So much more that I paid the extra $10 to get the game preordered on Steam before they removed it and Epic got exclusivity. Removing consumer choice is never beneficial to the consumer.
