Game has potential, but not in its current state. DRASTIC measures need to be taken in order to make this game worth anyone's time. By this time, it might be too late. It will likely be a trainwreck at launch and the playerbase is going to plummet, and nothing will be left to salvage.
This "demo" was nothing more than a glorified Alpha. Which, yes, I played the Alpha and this demo is just about the same, performance wise.
@sephirothswing: Yeah you definitely need to crank up flying sensitivity to near max, along with flight responsiveness if you really want it to react to where you are telling it to go. Even then, it is not a simple mechanic to learn. Gonna take many many hours to even get relatively good at it, unless they decide to change something.
My only question is: How often is that "replaying content on harder difficulties" going to be updated and expanded on?
If you make all the end game content purely just replaying the story missions over and over again, you will make the mistake so many others have made, and you will lose a lot of your player base after a few weeks.
If you are going to go with the gameplay model of making people replay stuff over and over for loot, you best keep adding content frequently to keep it interesting, or people tend to burn out fast.
Played the Alpha. Wasn't all that bad, but wan't groundbreaking either. Might get much more fun when you can actually play the Javelin you want and customize it to how you want it. Also playing with friends would be fun. But that remains to be seen
So far I think the safest option for this game is to do a month of Origin Access Premium on PC and see if the game is any good. If not, oh well, just wasted $15 instead of $60.
@snugglebear: Yeah an extra week for an online game is a bit over the top. And it is ONLY for origin access. Even if you buy the deluxe version, you don't get early access. You would have to buy the game, and then do a month of Origin Access for $15 to get an early start, then cancel Origin Access.
I am totally down for this. Especially if they got Snipes for the role. That would be a long shot. But if it is as good as the Punisher has been, I would be happy with it.
Awesome. I always do enjoy the post-game content they add to these games. Mercenary modes were always fun, starting with RE3. And even if they aren't extensive, free DLC is always appreciated. Keep up the good work!
So happy about this. Been waiting a very long time for this game, and it sounds like Capcom did a great job at making sure their remake was golden. Looks like the voice acting and vulgar language is on point too. Can't have a zombie apocalypse without F-bombs!!
I REALLY hope this does as well as I think it will, and Capcom will consider doing a RE3 remake. I loved that game as much as I loved RE2, and would be so happy if they would remake it in the same fashion as they did with RE2.
