I wonder how much internet data you would use to stream all your games? I honestly don't know much about streaming your games, but that seems like it be an issue for many people who have monthly internet data caps?
Got a free beta code from my buddy a few days ago, so figured I would give this game some tests. Biggest concerns I have so far are:
1) Game runs terribly. There is a severe lack of visual settings on PC, and some of the fixes require .ini file tweaking. Even trying to fix issues like Vsync always on, DoF, no PoV slider, terribly bad motion blur, etc, the game still didn't run or look all that great. Especially in congested areas like big towns or areas with public events running, frame rates just tanked. Thought maybe this was just me and my rig, but these problems seem to be a big issue being discussed among beta players.
2) Most loot in the game doesn't seem to be randomized. Loot you get from objects or containers seem to be random, but loot sitting around in the world(like on top of tables or on the floor, etc) seem to be the same everytime. This means eventually there will just be guides people can follow to get all the powerful gear without having to explore or find it yourself. Yes, gear does have minimum level requirements to help combat this, but that is about it.
3) I dont really know how I feel about the lack of NPC's at this point. Part of it is kind of fun, because it feels a bit more eerie not seeing a lot of people around. However, it does feel empty at time. I rarely even see other players, as there are only 24 people per server and the world is pretty big. So far all I have seen are some bugs and basic animals like rats and dogs, and ghouls. And one area I ran into some super mutants. But without humans, you lack a good chunk of enemy types. It feels like ghouls are about 90% of the game so far. Granted I barely moved out of the first big green Appalachia zone before the beta went down, but enemy types seemed limited. It WAS fun moving into a new zone and realizing you need a gas mask for it because the air is toxic. So giving zones unique problems like that does make it a bit more interesting.
4) Really have no idea how they plan to do end game and keep the game rolling "for years" as they claim. I feel like this game has nothing that would keep players around once they max out their level and explore enough of the game.
All in all, I am not sure how I feel about the game. From what I played, it felt ALOT like Fallout 4, minus NPC's. If they could manage to fix the god-awful performance issues, it might be an ok game. But so far from what I have played, I wouldn't shell out $60 for a stuttery, choppy, laggy game.
@prnjsn: Yeah if you look at any picture of her old character model or cutscenes, she clearly has a black turtleneck with short sleeves and black gloves. Her low-cut top in the remake looks a bit closer to her outfit in Code Veronica, but even in CV she had sleeves. Like you said, the new outfit doesn't look bad, but it definitely isn't the original.
Just too many good games on PS1 to fit into 20 titles. They should have just made it with more games, like 40-50. Some good games on this list, but not good enough to justify the pricetag.
