F.E.A.R definitely needs a reboot. That game was an absolute innovative gem of a game for its time. Not to mention the graphics were insane at that time, and the A.I. was just the right amount of smart to keep the game interesting. All while keeping the horror and jump scares around in the game with the creepy atmosphere.
The Suffering would also be a great game to reboot. That monsters in that game were very creepy and all had cool backstories to them and such.
The game is barely over 3 years old. WTF? If you are gonna remaster or reboot something, take something from like 15+ years ago, eh? At least 10+ years, minimum.
Really showing your lack of innovation if you do this, Sony.
Been keeping my eye on this game for like 2 years now. I am glad it is getting good reviews. I was terrified it would come out and be a dumpster fire. Now I can look forward to this and MK1, and cross my fingers that Lords of the Fallen plays as fun as it looks.
The game isn't too shabby. It really is like Fallout in Space. The dialogue is forgettable, the story is a bit "meh" like most Fallout games, but the exploration and combat is fun. My first time randomly landing in the middle of nowhere on a planet to get some iron, I saw a couple landmarks to discover. Went and found an abandoned mining facility and it was HUGE, packed with tons of stuff, and tons of enemies that dropped some pretty awesome stuff. Exploration and combat is definitely the part that makes this game worth while.
So it is sounding like the fighting and such is quite fun, like a typical Fallout type game, but the story and dialogue is lackluster. Honestly, I love the hell out of Fallout games, but I haven't felt like they really had great dialogue or main stories either, at least since Fallout 2. But what they never fail on is making combat fun, and character builds fun to play around with.
