@noforceken: If they back up their talk, this will be so much better than paid mods. The whole idea of paying for mods was stupid because mods are (I) not guaranteed to work either with the base game or with other mods that you've paid for, (II) are not backed by a company--their creator could take the money and run and (III) had only their creator(s) for tech support. If you're having issues with a mod, you'll very likely have to sort it out yourself, because it's often just one guy running the nexus page. Bethesda's promising to get rid of all of those problems while still allowing content creators to get paid. And yeah, they'll make some money off it too. Perish the thought!
@biggamerdude: Um, no they don't. The cheapest, new, 40" 1080p tv on amazon is $227 (https://goo.gl/tDo9i8). That's 28 dollars more than the cheapest, new, 32" 1080p monitor (https://goo.gl/FBll60) on amazon and less than half the price of a 40" 1080p monitor (https://goo.gl/ofhMa7).
If you move to 4K tvs, the cheapest 40" is $349 (https://goo.gl/ul8qLu) while the cheapest 32" monitor is $50 bucks more (https://goo.gl/6Y3lwT).
And this is just searching amazon. If you look on craiglist, you can almost always find someone selling their tvs at ridiculous prices. Monitors? Not so much.
@koospetoors: Most games aren't coming to switch; recognizing that isn't closed minded, it's just being in touch with reality. There may still be a *lot* of games that come to switch, but it's a small percentage--a boatload out of the armada of indies being produced.
@Metallic_Blade: Optical drives are going away. I haven't watched a movie on disk in years; hell even my parents use the netflix app on the blu-ray more than actual blu-rays.
