How would that apology look?

Germany: Hey Russia remeber that time we invaded your country, slaughtered your citizens and were trying to take over the world. Well we want you to give us war reparations!

Russia: seriously???

I assume thread creater is from the west, and it is pretty sad how ignorant you are acting to Russia. Stalins regime was brutal, but it was not so bad that the allied nations chose to give it financial support and aid throughout world war II. The USSR was an ally to Britain, the commonwealth and America.

Also if Russia somehow owes Germany, then US and britain owe Japan and Germany for all the damage and civilians deaths they caused through theur firebombing campaigns.

[QUOTE="KC_Hokie"]South Ossetia is legally part of Georgia. The Russian occupied it and drove out any ethnic Georgians. Then they issued the remaining people Russian passports. KC_Hokie

Ossetias are a seperate ethnicity (similar to Georgias, but have been seperate). They tried to seperate in 1990, but since then georgia has attempted to force assimilation on them. When did the Russians drive the georgians out?

During the 2008 war. It's technically, legally part of Georgia and yet the Russian occupy it by force. 25% of the population was Georgian up until that war too.

The Russians did the same thing at the same time in Abkhazia as well.

yea, but they occupied in response to Georgia's aggression. The Georgians literally shelled innocent civils. The Ossetias have been a different ethnicity then georgians and have wanted their own country since the 1920s. My point still stands, the Russias were not the bad guys everyone made them out to be. they iterrvened to stop the Georgians from killing civilians

According to Wikipedia, South Ossetia delared independence from Georgia. Why the hell would we want to give them back?

KC_Hokie

good point. People naturally assume Russia's the enemy, but really South Ossetia does not want to be part of Georgia. Better question when georgia invaded South Ossentia why did the world think russia did bad to come to South Ossetia's defence?

I do believe there is a god, but I do not adhere to any organized religion. I also do not think this god intervenes in our daily lives. I found it rather interesting that religious sects will go to great lengths to argue there is a god, not realizing that even if there is one, it does not necessarily mean that it is their one.

I really like, and I hope it does not go unnoticed, but rather helps to bring justice to that poor kids' family.
