Super Mario Land 1 & 2 had updates too. I'm sure they'll just be stability updates as I suspect any meaningful updates would appear in the 'software updates' category, or whatever its called.

As the above poster says, Wii games look quite bad on HDTV's. I've got a 32 inch standard TV in my room and the graphics look great.

[QUOTE="Raiko101"][QUOTE="MarioFan264"]

If Animal Crossing and Paper Mario even come out in 2012. Seems like Nintendo doesn't care about them at all anymore.

MarioFan264

What makes you say that? They've care enough not to bring their release dates forward. They've cared enough to spice up Animal Crossing as much as they've shown so far. They've cared enough to reintroduce classic elements of Paper Mario that the series' fans had missed. Just because they've not said anything recently, it doesn't mean they've been forgotten about.

No need to argue all of that. I am very excited for both games, but I say they don't care about them because it's getting frustrating how they announced both titles back in E3 of 2010, but they still don't even have a vague release date. Yet, first party games that get announced months, even a year later, get released immediately.

It's just annoying, because those two games were the games I was the most excited for from the beginning.

Fair enough, but i'm sure they'll be worth the wait. They'll have been in development for much longer than Super Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7, so you'll know they'll have had great care and attention.

[QUOTE="Raiko101"]In my opinion it sounds like your problem is with patience rather than losing coins. Those coins can really affect a race so you really need to be able to lose them, as well as gain them. I also think the weapon balancing is a little better than in previous entries. Being able to get a Mushroom or red shell in first place is something i'd not experienced too often, if at all, in previous games. The blue shell also stops somebody racing away into the distance, which isn't fair considering they only have to worry about the player behind them, wheras everybody else has to balance attacking and defending at the same time.RACiEP
I dunno. I kind of understand MarioFan264's frustration. In order to unlock every kart part, you need to get 5,000 coins. Considering you can only earn 10 each race if you manage to keep them until the end, it takes a LONG time!

I understand. It does take a long time, but consider how long you'll be playing the game if you're able to play online. That and you're not really missing out on much if you never unlock everything.

I will be, because i'm not getting the HD collection. I'm not getting the HD collection as I own the other games in the series already. All except this one.

I don't get the low volume issue. Apparently, if anybody else can here even the slightest sound from your headphones, then the music you're listening to is loud enough to be doing long term damage to your ears. Personally I find the volume to be fine, though I do have it on full volume at all times. If that's not enough for people, then you might want to consider getting noise reducing headphones than can minimise surrounding noise. As for the player itself, i've not found a way to organise music by artist or album, which means I have to manually create such playlists, which is rather annoying.

I'd recommend Pushmo (Pullblox for us Europeans), Link's Awakening, Donkey Kong, Kirby's Adventure, Twinbee and Zen Pinball 3D (when you guys get it!).

[QUOTE="RACiEP"][QUOTE="MarioFan264"]Makes no difference to me. I didn't realize that VS. mode was such a big thing until so many people started complaining about it. Honestly, I have much larger issues with Mario Kart 7 that make it frustrating. The lack of VS. mode is the least of my worries.MarioFan264

What are your issues? I'm just curious, not trying to be rude.

The coin unlocking system (which has kept me from the one kart I wanted) combined with the terrible item balancing, combined with Blue Shells and Lightning Bolts taking away coins that I have collected.

I now have to get 200 coins to get unlocks and I just got too frustrated with it. It's just a task because the game is so unbalanced and those items can not be avoided and usually show up right before the finish line so I don't have any chance to collect anymore coins to replace those I lost.

In my opinion it sounds like your problem is with patience rather than losing coins. Those coins can really affect a race so you really need to be able to lose them, as well as gain them.
