Only played 15 minutes so far, but the game was quite fun. The controls aren't amazingly slick, but it plays well and there seems to be an absolute ton of levels.

The graphics were really impressive. I can't explain how, exactly, but the 3D effect is really put to good use. Maybe its the camera, or the environments, but it works better in this game than any other 3DS game i've played. It's the first time in years that a games visuals have stood out so well. The gameplay is just as good as it always was. Has a couple of moments that aren't entirely clear, but if you've played it through once, things seem to come back to you quite quickly. The controls are as slick as ever and I was quite impressed with how the first person camera works. I was originally put off the idea of moving the console around to aim, but its very well done, very quick to aim, and i've not been breaking the 3D effect either.

A good purchase i'd say.

That is a shame you both have to buy the game, but i'm not really suprised. You could imagine 8 friends sharing games if they all shared a single account and such practices would harm sales. Again, it would be nice, but you can see why they don't allow it.

Can you actually tie the same account to two consoles? Convinient, if so, but I imagined they'd just unlink you from the previous console.

Depends on the game really. The console itself can share Mii characters, who can fight for you in the Dungeon Quest and can trade segments of images that form 3D images once completed. In Ridge Racer you can share Ghost data, which if beaten, gives you money to further unlocks. There's nothing majorly exciting gong on with it at the minute, but its somehow appealing none the less.

I don't even rate the Sonic Adventure games. Needless overworlds, annoying characters, annoying script, overly sensetive controls. I remember being amazed by the opening level and then being majorly disapointed with the rest of it. Sonic Colours was a much, much better game. Little to complain about, besides the needless colour gimmick stuff.

I can imagine Punch Out working well in 3D, given the perspective, but I suspect many platformers will be ignored seeing as the perspective doesn't really lend itself well to 3D. If they were to dabble with SNES games, A Link to the Past, Super Mario Kart and F-Zero are no brainers.

I'm quite certain some of these enemies were used for a scrapped version of Resident Evil 4. You could argue that they look like something from Silent Hill, but they really don't look out of place in this game or the series to be honest.

[QUOTE="Raiko101"][QUOTE="lordlors"] November is already near so i suspect this 3ds version will be rushed if that's the case.lordlors

Maybe, but if they're able to downsize assets from the console versions of the game and port them across, they might be able to put it all together quite quickly.

Well its not all bad news. Suspect it wont be as big a game as the console versions though.

That's what the slider is there for though. Pilotwings has a really strong 3D effect compared to Ridge Racer 3D. It took me a good week before I could play that game at full strength. I assume it will be the case again with Kid Icarus.
