You know what really disappoints me? Animal Crossing is still no where to be found. I remember that was originally supposed to come out last June, and was the main reason my mother bought one. Had she known it still isn't out yet, she'd have waited. JustPlainLucas
Animal Crossing was never given a release date. It was never given a full title and we've never known much about it. It's never looked close to being released.

That's a shame. Kinda wish i didn't go on a virtual console spending spree for my wii now. They better not pull something like this in the future.

The highlights for me are Donkey Kong, Tetris,Gargoyles Quest, Mega Man, any of the Super Mario Lands and Metroid 2. I'd also recommend Punch Out!! because of it's simplicity and depth.

You would hope, now that Nintendo are working on the 'Nintendo Network', that this shouldn't be an issue with the 3DS/Wii U, but it certainly is with the Wii at the minute. Whatever you've bought on your Wii is stuck there.

It's apparently a little more time consuming than one might imagine. Besides, many games don't lend themselves to 3D all too well. Kid Icarus required background art that just isn't possible on a NES, there were two top-down shoot' em ups. An almost remake of an incredibly small game, Urban Champion, and then ExciteBike, which had been completely rebuilt from the ground up, just to support 3D.

Although Nintendo did demo a ton of games, including Super Mario Bros, Punch Out!!! and Castlevania before the consoles launch, they had said that there would only be 6 games in the series.

The 3D Classics Collection merely existed to give gamers something to purchase while we waited for the eShop to take off. Now the NES Virtual Console is off the ground we might not see any more games.

[QUOTE="JustPlainLucas"][QUOTE="bonesawisready5"][ 3. Controls are intentionally how they are, to add suspense. It wouldn't be scary, tense or thrilling at all if it played like Gears of War.

Never agreed with that point. Bad controls make a game scary? :? At least you can move while shooting this time around. Thank GOD!

Not bad controls, intentionally stiff controls. Controls that restrict your character from doing a 180 in half a second and running away at full speed. I don't think you'll find many people who will claim the series has suffered from 'bad' controls. At least not with the modern entries in the series.

180 hours on a single game? That is hardcore. I think my number one game sits at 40 hours at the minute, having owned the console since launch.

I know what you mean, but unfortunately its not possible. Maybe in a future update they'll allow you to activate the CPP from the Home screen.

I've bought a 16gb card for my 3DS, but suspect i'll have to upgrade it within a year. If quality releases keep coming in.

Sounds like you were expecting the game to be something it isn't. That or you're just massively over-exaggerating .I feel the controls are fine without the CPP. So much so that I choose not to use the CPP I own. It's very much playable without it. In fact, i'd say it plays amazingly well without it. The controls are meant to be a little stiff, but that has been intentional throughout the series. The idea being that you can't just run around every thing like a nut case, which in turn makes things scarier. I also don't see whats wrong with the frame rate. The game is far from unplayable and slowdown is minimal. It runs more smoothly that MGS does, and considering how good it looks, it's impressive stuff. As for the boss fight. It's not cheap. It was designed that way to keep you on your toes. If it were a 1 on 1 scenario, you'd kill it so easily it would be pointless. Fair enough it's not very imaginative, but there's nothing remotely cheap about it. I have played a hundred games with bosses i'd consider cheap. This isn't one of them.
