It's between 3 for me. The NES, the PS1 and the DS. All 3 have a great library of games, even when you ignore the big name games like Super Mario Bros, MGS, Final Fantasy, etc... I'd probably have to go with the NES. Most of the games had the simple premise, the simple gameplay, awesome graphics and were amazingly addictive.

Uh oh. I don't know how much you care for the GameSpot forums so it might not matter, but you might want to edit your post quickly. It's best just to refer to the japanese as japanese because, as I have learnt from this forum, the term you've used is considered racist in America. Even though the japanese themselves and most other countries deem it an acceptable mini-term, I got reported to a moderator the last time I used it. Stupid I know...

It looks very good and it's only at 40% complete. Imagine at 80%-90%. chris3116
I assume you mean those pictures were taken from a version estimated to be 40% complete? If the game today is not even half built, you wont see it released any time before the summer. Assuming they've a big development team.

The two Master System games are completely different to the Genesis/Mega Drive ones. Sonic 1 on the Master System is really good, if a litle short. Sonic 2 on the Master System however, is a big pile of poop. Poor level design and poor bosses. Not to mention the fact that the game has images of Tails all over the place, yet he doesn't feature in the game at all.

I'm actually studying Game Development so it's ironic I don't have the time to play them so much these days.

I actually agree with that review lol. I think Mario Kart 64 is the worst in the series. Some pretty bland graphics, sluggish handling, and when sat next to Diddy Kong Racing, underserving of any score above 7.0.

I don't see how these Wii-makes could annoy anyone as its unlikely this is effecting the development of future 1st party titles. It really doesn't take a great deal of people to make small adjustments to a game.

Jaysonguy

Number of first party games available in the first quarter of 2009?

Zero

Don't think for a second that this cash in doesn't mess with other games.

That means nothing. Last year developers were complaining that Nintendo developed titles were dominating software sales. You could say that Nintendo has left a window open for 3rd party developers. I don't think that's the case, but considering how big a company Nintendo is, I highly doubt the whole company is focused on revamping GameCube titles. As I said, such a job would require very small development teams as they're simply adjusting fully built games.

The Wii-makes are worth it simply because so many gamers missed out on some classic GameCube titles. They're worth it to me as i'll eventually be able to play Metroid Prime 1 & 2 with the same controls as the third. It also gives Nintendo the opportunity to adjust and make small improvements to any games that require it.

Seeing as the thread is simply named after the title of the game, perhaps I could sneek in and ask a few more questions about the game?

I've been watching some videos on youtube and the multiplayer looks really fun. The concept and gameplay, both being simple, is realy appealing. I've only seen 4 different maps however; a snow one, an island one, one that looks like a farm with two houses either side, and one with a single building and a mine. I'm wondering how many multiplayer maps are in the game and generally what do people think of them? Are there any popular or favourite maps everyone plays?

Also, i'm wondering how popular the online mode is. Is anybody struggling to find games or are the servers well populated? This really wont sway my decision on buying the game, as i'm sure i'll be able to exchange friend codes with GameSpot users in the near future, but it would be nice to be able to go online at any random time and get into a good 4 player game.

I'd say... Resident Evil 4 Final Fantasy 12 Devil May Cry 3 God of War Twisted Metal Black I don't which of them you have played before, but Resident Evil 4 and FF12 will keep you occupied for some time. Although i'm in the minority, I found God of War repetitive and pretty easy. It's the sort of game you can become easily distracted from and forget if you plan to buy so many games within a short peroid.
