Considering the DS is the 2nd highest selling console at the minute, releasing a new handheld would be a pretty silly thing to do.

Driver 3 on the GBA was 3D. Still I suspect most of those demos went no further as there were serious flaws or implications.

1. Super Metroid (SNES) - I've not played another game in which backtracking felt both necessary and rewarding. This is actually my all-time favourite game.

2. Super Mario Bros 2 (NES) - Although most peoples least favourite 2D mario game, this is definately my favourite. I know it's actually Doki Doki Panic, but the gameplay and level design is top notch. Where else can you perform matrix-like dodging, on ice, through a swarm of bee-like creatures, with a Princess who can float? I rest my case lol.

3. Destruction Derby (Playstation)- Fair enough some don't consider this console retro, but this game is 13 years old now. Surely that's retro right? Either way it took me a long time to get into this game, but those bowl events remain one of my favourite gaming memories ever! This game is a gem!

4. Road Rash II (Mega Drive) - I wasn't too keen on racing games in the 8/16-bit eras, but I was addicted to this one. Shame the series went so far downhill after the third one... Hope they revive it in the future!

5. Flashback - I didn't care much for graphics at the time, probably because I was bought up playing 3 generation of console at once, but this game was awesome. I'd usually spend a few minutes on each screen planning ahead because otherwise i'd be dead in seconds. I still find it quite difficult today actually. It's great fun though!

Why can't I type the word s.t.y.l.e?

How weird...

This game has absolutely nothing to do with Nintendo other than that it is being released on their console. So it's not Nintendo's who are abandoning the so-called hardcore. It would be Rockstar. If the 'hardcore' are boring enough to want to play the same 1st/3rd person perspective shoot 'em ups all their life then that's their problem. If you are old enough to play this game, and thus old enough to experience the originals when they first came out, you'd know theres nothing wrong with a top down perspective in GTA.

Haha, yeah that DJ in Burnout 3 is incredibly annoying! Anyways I would have to say Burnout 3 was also my favourite racing game. Great controls, love the crashing and there's a great sense of speed. I'm not at all a fan of the Crash mode however.

Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy VIII, Metal Gear Solid and Resident Evil. The only 4 games I can think of where I really followed the stories. It's not like I don't know what's going on in most games, or I skip the stories out where ever possible. It's just those were the only really interesting ones.

A Pilotwings Wii has been rumoured since the airplane game was removed from Wii Sports before its release. I'm not sure if its appearing in Wii Sports resort, but it does represent what Pilotwings would be like on the Wii. I would love to have 16-player online races through the sky in planes, or capture the bag with jetpacks and such. That's what the series needs. As for other games that could be remade, Road Rash would compliment the Wii remote perfectly. Titling the bike with the nun-chuck and whiping the chains with a flick of the wii remote. Simple and fun!

Supposedly it's bigger than GTA III and Vice City. Well the actual comparisons were made against the PSP 'Stories' versions of those games, but they've spent 2 years developing this. I don't care what camera angle they use to be honest. I consider the original GTA to be better than every GTA game besides GTA III.

He's pretty much saying a games console isn't any good unless it can be more than a games console. :/
