@suprastaruk Microsoft is neither the first nor the last to discount older content, or offer up free content that early adopters may well have purchased. That's the downside of being an early adopter, paying full price for something that will almost certainly be discounted in the future.

@Celsius765 @RandyAU93 @blabr70 @WllDan7 Sorry, GameSpot got it wrong. Went to YouTube and watched IGN's copy of the Microsoft presser. At 9:20 in the presentation, they start discussing the Games with Gold program. The exact words are "And to kick off that program, I'd like to share just two of the titles that we're going to offer over the next few months: Assassin's Creed 2 and Halo 3". There is no mention that these titles are launching in July.

@suprastaruk How so? No complaints about Sony offering relatively new games on its rental program? No complaints about Nintendo offering VC games through Club Nintendo that members may already own? No complaints about games being offered at discount prices after a period?

@Khasym @anomaly3001 How so? You've had the game for now three years and I'm sure you've gotten some enjoyment out of it, otherwise you wouldn't have spent 800 MSP on it, right?

@XspidervenomX I'll say the same thing ... when you played Defense Grid, what did you dislike so much to offer such an opinion? If you read the biased GameSpot article (biased in the sense they needed to mention PlayStation Plus in a Microsoft-related article), they actually like Defense Grid.

@bunchanumbers Oh, so you've played Defense Grid? What did you like about the game? What did you dislike about it? I'd be intrigued to hear your opinions ...

@BryanParksSuper Source please? A loss of 24 million subscribers would be significant and appear in any number of media sources, so you shouldn't have too much trouble finding something. Thanks.

@Hellhound30x That's a nice selection of rental games, and the price for PlayStation Plus makes that a very good deal, just like how Netflix offers all those movies and TV shows for $8/month.

@Celsius765 @blabr70 @WllDan7 Can you get a screen clip or press release or anything that says that either AC 2 or Halo 3 were scheduled for launch in July? If you can, then you can claim they lied ... but not before.
