i have to admit i'm getting curious, but i think this game is just too big to spoil it for myself, even after a close friend spoilt it for himself and told me he is not bying this "piece of crap" as he put it.
it's only one more month!
a bad story can have a big impact on a game like this that is known for its storytelling. a problem a resident evil game would never have. but i still value gameplay so much more over story, that even if the last of us 2's story is bad (and that is all i heard so far, nothing about the gameplay being bad in any way) it will most likely still deliver from a gameplay perspective. and i care about that way more than i care about the story.
@5tu88sy: honestly that's exactly my thinking. i can be pretty hardcore towards games and if a game is being released from a series i love, like dmc or RE, i usually preorder it (normal priced pre-order), but i never understood what people do with all this crap.
a free in-game shotgun upgrade? yes, sure, why not!
an artbook that i will at the very most dabble in once for an additional 20€ (i know because i have one for bioshock 2)? no thanks!
@Random_Matt: yes, i assume you meant "ship/sell"? i agree, at least we'll have a reason to buy a ps5 with this. but since the game was almost finished i find it hard to believe they are reworking it for another console, because that will cost more money right?
@odinsguide: she does say that line, although earlier in the game. and she finishes nemesis off with "next time TAKE THE HINT!" which is an A-grade B-movie line. sorry to hear you didn't like it as much. personally i love the game. i haven't even really got started, just beat standard twice. so much goodness yet to come...
@ember_to_flame: you press the button to get the zombie off faster. try not pressing anything the next time you get grabbed. and in a game with a dodge button, being grabbed has to be punished, otherwise there would be no difficulty at all.
@cherub1000: if you are a resident evil fan you are going to love it (but i guess in that case you would own it already). if you are, like OP said, someone who just clears a game once and then moves onto the next you have to decide for yourself. watch some gameplay and see if you fancy it. if you want to beat all difficulties, starting with standard you're looking at 4 playthroughs.
